Rigo Vs Donaire - The most unfriendliest fight for casual fans?

    i love a good chess match between these two, ive been waiting for this matchup for a long time but i cant help but think there will be a large amount of booing as both guys are naturally counter punchers. Rigondeaux who takes long pauses to study his oponent till he finds the chance and donaire who usually feeds off guys who come at him. Not everyone appreciates a guy who fights like nonito before the knockout and many people don't appreciate rigondeaux smooth movement and quick counter punches

    yeah I think when they make this fight they have to stack the undercards, I will enjoy this fight though, its one of the fights you would love to score personally

    And who knows, a fight might break out. Not uncommon against tactical boxers eager to distinguish themselves in rounds (Casamayor-Marquez, etc.)

    Definitely me too..I don't remember any match that I wanted to watch more than this..I believe that Rigo is something special..same for Donaire..Rigo will KO him in the 6..

    Yeah, I see this pretty much going like Donaire/Nish except it will be lights out and not a KD when it happens. I just don't see Rigo winning a decision by continually counter punching and refusing to create offense and be first his fair share so if it goes the distance Nonito wins that too. Rigo's lack of pro experience will not serve him well in this fight.

    All I can say is that Nonito can't slack off not even a second.

    His antics against Mathebula would be fatal.

    The Donaire that stopped Nishioka is patient, calm and deadly.

    That's the one that can get the job done. If that guy shows up, it's lights out for Rigo.

    You really think it is that lopsided? Rigo has very good defensive skills as long as he doesn't open up. That is what almost got him sunk in his last fight.

    Nonito has admitted he fights down a level when the competition allows it for the 'show' aspect. A lot of people here seem to miss that though. I encourage people to watch Nonito vs Mathebula and pay very close attention to what goes on in Donaires corner. Pretty nonchalant until Garcia tells Donaire to step on it at which point he promptly goes out and breaks his opponents jaw.
