How far do you think Chris Eubank Jnr can go?

I wonder if he needs to find his own style a bit more. At the moment he seems to be trying too hard to do what his father did, which was natural for his father, but maybe not for him.
I was a fan of his father and would like him to do well, but I think its too early to tell. We will have to wait for his competition to step up, though I think there will be more to his game when he fights tougher comp

 

Early to say, but you're right about that. Eubank is an inspirational guy and a good talker. Knows how to get his point across and jr won't have to look far to get good advice/motivational talk.

He's European level at worst.

Everyone seems to nit-pick easily sorted flaws and ignore how good he looks for a fighter who's only fought 19 times professionally & amateur. Defence can be worked on and power isn't really the be all and end all.

It's really funny to see people jump around slating Eubank Jr whilst bumming and praising far lesser fighters. You like to talk about how he's just riding off his Dad's name but you're the ones who compare him. If he was Chris Smith you'd be all over his nuts as a good prospect.

 

I saw him fight some midget with 22 losses. Throughout the fight Eubank was teasing him and showing off, I though to myself he better knock him out then if he's doing all that. But In the end he just couldn't do it and won on points.

I won't comment on him until he's actually fought some decent opposition. Saunders, Ryder or Qato would do

 

I rate him higher than most seem to on esb.

Not a fan myself, cocky posh kid, who talks **** and has no power and many defensive flaws. Will improve but don't see him ever being genuine world level

 

If he shaves that silly goatee off, drops his dads gimmicks and stops acting strange, he might go a long way.

 

he looks good when working behind the jab and using sensible lateral movement but **** when he tries to copy his dad's gimmicks. He has defensive lapses and his punch form looks sloppy at times but i think thats a result of being so inexperienced. Definately has potential, but i'd let him have another year of learning fights before a big step up cause he could get hurt with his sloppiness.

 

He's a very good boxer, who's trying to hard to k.o. or stop his opponents, needs to steady down box and let it happen instinctively, he is under a lot of pressure with tv,. Its difficult enough at world class with good power, he may be a middleweight mallignagi, wich still means he's going to succeed.

If he gets to near world level before getting exposed (by which I presume you mean "beat"), then he will have done ok.

Remember, Amir Khan got found out at domestic level but went on to do very well...

 

I think the similarities he and his Father share are actually quite scary, at 8 or 9 & 0 Eubank Sr was admittedly dog ****! "WORK ETHIC" something Jr clearly has an abundance of. Passed down from Sr

Its very very difficult to say at this stage what he can be, will he bloom late due to his obsessive work ethic?, or will he burn out?, technically can he get much better? its going to be interesting to watch him grow and develop, Its a double edged sword being Chris Eubank Jr, if he wasnt nobody would give a flying **** about him, but because he is, people expect too much!

I think if he's matched properly he can do big things personally
