yup. arce wanted to unify with wojngkam from what i can remember, he even defended that wbc interim belt 3 times or something. while wojongkamp, the full wbc champ, stayed protected in thailand fightng set-ups. this time last year on ESB i remember vic - arce was one of the most talked about matchups people wanted to see, then they both get destroyed in the middle of the year. sure took out a lost of interest for that fight.

Hell, I'd still like to see Arce and Darchinyan fight. Who cares if they both lost last year or don't have titles anymore? It'd still be a damn good fight.

Wongpong fong what ever his name is tied up his whole division he never wanted to fight Arce and Dirchinyan while those two wanted too so his the biggest waste.

Those fights can still happen and be very good fights even without the titles.

i dont think it was that he didnt want to fight him, i think its a more cultural mindset which is different than what were used to. He sees himself as strictly an employee, and thinks only about supporting his large family. The promotor says show up, he does, he gets paid and goes home...he's a very humble guy and wouldn't ever call out fighters or be disrespectful, etc. and I doubt he cares about the fans in general- only to support his family.

yeah, but, it loses a ton of luster without them, and w/o the prospect of a real champion at 112.

Exactly, I actually read an article where he wanted to fight Arce and was hoping that his promoter could get it for him, but like you said it really is up to his promoter.

    * It would have been good to see a Wladimir Klitschko vs Lennox Lewis fight I think

    * Also Erik Morales vs Naseem Hamed would have been a good fight while both were undefeated.

    * Roy Jones jr vs Mike Tyson, after Jones won the WBA belt would have been huge too

    * David Tua vs Tyson, around the years 1998-2003 would have been really good too

    * Shane Mosley vs Felix Trinidad was building up to be a huge potential fight while both were undefeated and pound for pound candidates

    * Roy Jones vs Joe Calzaghe would have been a great fight before Jones lost to Tarver, especially before Jones went up to heavyweight

you cant really blame them cause they were trying to make the matchup but they both got their asses whipped before they could face each other
