share which seemingly half decent heavyweight fights r going down in the near future. and who u think wins?
deontay wilder vs kelvin price. 15 dec. wilder by ko. haven't seen either of them before though. wilder 25 ko's from 25 fights, but he has only faced limited fighters so far.
I'll be watching Jonathan Banks vs seth mitchell this weekend with interest since Mitchell is meant to be a real up and comer. Yet to see either fight.
Have seen Seth Mitchell quite a few times now. Had to weather an early storm against Chazz Witherspoon in a recent outing. I honestly cant see Mitchell being a long term champion lacking the amateur pedigree & will have a big size disadvantage to big prospect heavyweights such as David Price. I remember Deontay Wilder barely surviving a fight after being knocked down hard against a terrible opponent. Has some of the thinnest legs you will ever see also...seems built out of proportion IMO. Tho you would expect Wilder to destroy Kelvin Price. Tyson Fury vs Kevin Johnson should be interesting in December. I lean to Fury but it could be the best fight of the bunch. Kubrat Pulev is easily 1 of the best of the new brigade IMO & is worth checking out if anyone hasnt seen him. David Price should destroy Matt Skelton in a couple weeks. Arreola vs Stiverne looks like it wont happen till next yr with all the Don King promotional issues. I expect Arreola to KO Stiverne. Lastly, Bryant Jennings is facing Bowie Tupou on NBC Sports & i expect him to stop Tupou. While being a big fan of Jennings, he will have trouble like Seth Mitchell when facing the bigger heavyweights with good amateur pedigree.
Also there are discussions from Frank Maloney of Price wanting to fight Fury or Towers in February after he gets through Matt Skelton. Nice contemptuous comment seeing as Towers would surely need a win against Lucas to get the offer. Not that I see either Lucas or Towers take the fight against Price if offered at this stage.
I like this fight myself. Just threw 35 on the under 9 1/2 rounds. Currently Banks is at +325 and I think that is a decent price but hope for it to go back up to near +400 where it was a day or 2 ago. I'll be putting a little something on Banks. I think Banks is a front runner and that Seth is vulnerable to an early KO. Banks should be able to use his superior skills to do some big damage early on. Jonathon is by far the better fighter. The only way he will lose is if he is caught by something huge. Otherwise he wins most every round. I also expect a very determined effort from Banks after Manny passed away. It would not surprise me if he dedicates the fight to Manny and fights his best fight to date.
pretty sure alex hasa busy schedule in the next few months. i saw him the other day. he is close to having a 6 pack stomach. he's very motivated, and very fit. he has his sights on a WT shot. i know he can make it. he has the right people in his corner to steer him to a shot.
any other heavy bouts look interesting? vitali will be retired pretty soon by the looks of it. which fighters will be near the top for some time after he's gone?
