Where did I say that? Show me where I mentioned Clay, Liston, Floyd, Gatti

At no stage did Mundine look likely to win the fight. Geale won nearly every round and dominated Mundine from start to finish. Even most of Mundine's most ardent supporters here have acknowledged that :good

Really? Cause Geale "has no power" he can't throw power punches? That's not how it works. Geale hit choc with numerous hooks and uppercuts which all count as power punches.

I may be wrong but I think compubox considers anything other than a jab a power punch,

compubox means squat, take calzaghe hopkins as an example, and there are countless others, the only way you get a true accurate scorecard is if you leave your bias at the door, which is impossible for most blokes on here and watch it with no sound, watch one fighter per round at a time, eg watch geale round 1, then rewind then watch choc, with SCORING PUNCHES ONLY THAT LAND, WORKRATE THAT MISSES THE TARGET DOES NOT APPLY. if you score workrate that misses then you have to score for the fighter that contributes to that punch missing by using solid defence as they are both components of a fight, works both ways. PRO boxing is about quality not quantity.

There were heaps of even rounds in this fight which should be called even if they ARE EVEN, No body deserved to win that fight, nobody did enough to secure it, geale deserves to keep his title.

    cheers

Without exception the only people who think it was close or even give the nod to Mundine were those who picked Mundine to win - as you did by way of KO.

    That fight was not close.

    I agree with this post.

It's very easy to watch a fight and just focus on one of the two fighters in the ring and what they do, normally the fighter you are supporting.

In this fight with the commentary, you notice that all the commentators seem to be just watching Geale and only comment on what he does. Any of Mundine's shots gets a passing remark, but barely two sentences.

If you watched the fight over and watched each round twice and watch for each fighter, you will get a true gauge of the fight.

Obviously this would never work in real life as judges are paid to watch whats in front of them. But for a fight fans point of view, it is a worthwhile exercise.

What did you score it? I don't buy the bias commentary bit. Barry Michael started off in Mundine hugger mode, the reason that the commentary changed to all Geale was cause the fight was all Geale

Mate Mundine looked like a red-headed stepchild from the ref's instructions right through to the final bell - he knew he was getting thumped.

    I had it for Geale.

Choc didn't do enough to win the title, it's as simple as that.

I watched it live and thought it was closer live than on the tv as Mundine's punches on the counter seemed more accurate live.

The three judges weren't listening to Barry Michael and the commentary team :patsch

Two judges scored it 9 rounds to Geale and 3 rounds to Mundine, and the other 8 rounds to Geale and 4 rounds to Mundine.

It was scored a one sided fight because it was a one sided fight.

thats like saying Chris Sandow didn't do enough to win the Dally M medal.
Choc got iced. More so than he did against Kessler in my opinion. 119-109 and I wouldn't even argue with 120-108.
