Watched the weigh in. Martinez was putting on a front, maybe genuine, maybe trying to hide something. Sometimes fighters go like that when they are nervous going into a fight. Frampton seems pretty calm and calculated. For that reason I think this fight will be a KO/TKO either way, but I'm leaning towards Frampton because I think Martinez will come in hot headed.
Is this the same Martinez who Rendall stopped? If so, Frampton bulldozes this guy. Mid round stoppage. What's the fuss about?
Martinez has improved since those fights with Munroe. Has some really good power in his hands. Can Frampton take one of his big punches? All this shite the McGuigans chat about Frampton beating up welterweights in sparring, I don't believe that for a moment. Martinez will test Frampton's chin and defence, Frampton will test Martinez's boxing skills and brain.
Frampton has to win this and Martinez has something to prove. Even though Martinez is only 26, he's past his best and Frampton should beat him badly and stop him. If Frampton want's to box him he'll out-box him, if he want's to fight him he'll be too strong for him.
Frampton but Martinez is a quality opponent. I've become more excited because it kicked off at the weigh in. I'm a sucker for hype.
Frampton UD for me. Going to ask this in here rather than make another thread and be killed... how many fights are being shown? Just this and the Selby/Lindsay fight? Want to see Rogan myself!
Programme's scheduled from 8pm until 11:30 so unless they're planning on a load of filler you'd imagine they'll at least show Lee - Fitzgerald, and maybe another.
