1. Tito 2. Glen Johnson 3. Pavlik 4. Lipsey 5. Echoles 2 (from what i remember watching) Honourable Mention: Joppy
i really liked tarver, first time i ever REALLY liked hopkins. but i think he did a similar but even better job against pavlik.
At the three minute mark, at the start of round nine, Napoles absolutely batters Cokes. Combination punching to rival Robinson's. No wasted energy though. Intelligent pacing.
I just wish Naps took his hands wherever he bobbed his head. Reminds me of Mosley but a bit slower, always has.
And much smarter. His footwork (distance, balance) and pacing are the real separators. Napoles never had an air tight defence but his whole style was geared around counter punching. Used his head like an irresistible target, though his top class slipping and weaving ability usually kept his head clear. His counter punching is some of the most advanced I've seen. He played the game at a very high level technically. Look at 3:58 to see an example.
Mosley had great footwork and balance as well though, I don't know that I would classify them as separators per se watching Mosley later at 135. granted Mosley had the more physcial gifts, Naps had ridiculous tools as well. I just see them as very similar types :good
james toney jirov barkley nunn ruiz hes just a great fighter to study the shoulder roll and counterpunching
