Botha-Williams and History

He signed a 10round contract but I do agree the fight smells funny. Everywhere you read it was 12rounds,SBW said himself it was 12rounds then post fight says he knew it was 10;caught right there. WBA pan asia spokesman said the wba sanction may have been faked. More to come definitely

 

I am an Aussie and agree with you Botha got screwed, Koder Nassar and Mundine are involved here and anything they touch has a bad smell about it, have a look at Geale's first loss to Mundine. I think though that Wiliiams fought a good fight but when Botha got his chance Williams was shown up. Basically what is someone with 6 fights and who is really a footballer doing fighting someone on Botha's level anyway.

 

It's terrible. Flat out disgusting.

I recall something similar happening Tony Jeffries the Olympian. First time he failed to win. He thought it was a 4 rounder but it was a 6 round fight.

 

****ing screwed up when i was in NZ a while back you should hear how they talk about their ''hometown'' boy even they hate him... I believe Botha could have won that fight and will probably not get a rematch.

 

For ****s sake this fight was always a sham. Botha was obviously paid to take the fight past 8 rounds. Anyone with 2 brain cells to put together can see that.

Queensland has no combat sports authority to govern the sport so they can pull this ****.

 

Botha was kind of screwed, but I suspect he got paid well, and who knows, he may get a rematch, or at least another Aussie pay day.

As for the worse in 30 years, it has got some way to go, before it tops Gonzales/CoggiI!

Its disgusting, I figured Botha would have a few problems with him based on him being shot but I knew he would eventually turn it on an hurt him. Bunch of bull****.

 

**** me....and i just watched a highlight reel which looks designed to justify the decision. either way, i need to watch the whole damn fight

imagine if in football, a touchdown for one team resulted in 20 points and then the other team's touchdowns don't count because the quarterback's shoes were the wrong colour? what other sport allows the officials to do ANYTHING under the cloak of "well, it's the official decision". it's not "official" anything...it's only one assholes rules and 3 other assholes poor judgement.

i maintain we need to keep an esb record of ACTUAL scorecards. who really won the fight. in years who knows, it may be seen as the new official record

That was one of my first guesses until Magna claimed Wlad decked him.... Francois claimed Wlad never hurt him.
