Jesus Christ he milks the life out of this gimmick! He's no warrior. He's a tough, tough man, but warriors died out years ago. Anyone else agree?
He's a throwback. A fighter who'd have fitted in back in the good old days when boxing was more about guts, heart and toughness than it was about skill and athleticism. Fellas like Khan, Haye, Cleverly and so many others wouldn't have got anywhere near titles 30 or 40 years ago if they'd even lasted in the sport at all. Froch though has that grit and inner-mental strength to suggest he could have IMO. Kessler is the same. True tough guys who like to have a war, not athletes who just hit, hold and run and don't like going to the deep water. Sometimes Froch's confidence and self-assurance crosses the line into arrogance, it's always the same with him.
Same as the "Ricky Hatton, local fella, one the lads, dead 'umble, down to earth bloke, people's champ" bull**** he played on
**** it, the guy's selling his fights and has found an angle which he feels works. To be fair he's not selling the fight to people like us who post on here, he's selling to the people who will catch his interviews on Sky Sports News etc...
He is annoying at times, but he has got more respectful over the years and does less acting than he used to. He's milked some good performances against opponents that aren't at his level IMO. Namely, Bute and Abraham.
Yes! Turn it into the "Carl Froch drinking game": Every time he says the word "Warrior", you have to down a shot of brandy!
American use it as well .Probably just to sell his fights . http://www.rosstraining.com/rosstrainingwarriorshirt.html
