Some great answers, MORE in the full review.

Marquez: Yes, it was a round of study. Pacquiao said he was going to look for a knockout. What I did was to go in and measure him, to see what he wanted to do. In certain moments, I also exchanged some punches -- like you said, hitting the softer spots, using my waist movement and connecting with speed. But the most important thing in that first round was seeing what Manny Pacquiao was bringing with him.

Marquez: We were waiting for the right moment. Manny Pacquiao always makes a fake move that I know too well. He fakes a charge forward and then looks like he is going to follow with a one-two. That's a common fake he has. What I do is, I wait for the moment, he fakes the punch ... that one-two. Then I go for his right hand as he throws it as a jab -- I go toward his right hand. He comes forward with all his weight, and that's why the fall becomes more forceful and spectacular -- because he is coming straight to me and I make my body twist and turn, and the right hand wasn't in a straight position. I believe that this movement made the hand even stronger. ... The clash of two body masses full-on makes the punch even stronger.

This pretty much kills the notion that JMM became stronger overnight. I'm not saying he is completely drug free because anyone can be under suspicion these days. The key is the fact that JMM's power didn't actually increase. I believe it has always been the same. The KO came as a result of great timing, technique, and Pac's momentum.

...and that is EXACTLY the mistake Pacquiao made that got him KO'd. High ring IQ vs mediocre ring IQ.

So that big right hook Pac landed in the 5th landed on JMM's nose...if it had caught him on the jaw, or temple, he might have been out of there. This is a very interesting read. I wish Pac would give his version.

In other words, Pac is the same fighter with same tendencies except he's been using PEDs. JMM nullified that by working with Ariza's friend Memo who share the same milk shake protein recipe. JMM finallly had enough of being cheated in the ring.

  11. Lets see if you can do that again Juan. Accept the 5th fight boy!! Come on boy. Manny gave u 4 chances to finally win. If ur a true mexican u will give Manny the rematch, be a hombre cojones!

  12. "Yes, a right hook came in quite strong from Manny Pacquiao. there was a hemorrhage. He hit me quite hard and landed several combinations. the hemorrhage starts to appear from my nose, and I wasn't breathing as easily anymore. I seized that opportunity"

Juan basically saying "Pac foked me up. I took the lucky chance and it worked"

Still GREAT win for Juan.. cant take anything away from that 1 secon punch..
