[yt]NyfKpSui_Ls[/yt] I see Machida walking away with this one, holding his ground and giving the fans what they want in the final round. What say you?
I voted Machida on points but this is just about a 50/50 fight to me, the only situations that would really surprise me are Machida by KO & Hendo by submission, any other result is a decent possibility. The strongest possibilities though are either man on points & Hendo by KO. I go Machida by close decision.
This fight is all wrong for Hendo but i gotta support the H-Bomb. If he double taps that TRT its over for the dragon.
I predict that Machida is too elusive for this version of Hendo. I don't see Dan being able to pull the trigger quickly enough to land a flush H-Bomb, unless Machida gets lazy/complacent. Only thing is, 2013 Hendo's biggest weakness is his gas tank. But Machida doesn't really have a fast-paced style that will exploit that. Machida's standoffish style will give Hendo the opportunity to pace himself, engage on his own terms and conserve energy. Plus it's a 3 round fight (I assume) so that will be good for Hendo. Still, Machida by decision is the most likely outcome I think. Maybe Machida by TKO, if one of his blitzes connects well enough later in the fight. Never count Hendo out, but Machida should be smart enough to stay on the outside and pick him apart. :hat
I think Henderson finally pays for all the punishment he's been given throughout his career and gets put to sleep. Not hating on the guy. He's amazing. But still freaking human, nonetheless.
Anything other than Machida by UD will surprise me. I think Lyoto is too elusive for Hendo, especially this version of Hendo, plus Machida already has the experience of his rematch with Rua, so he'll definitely be extra careful not to eat shots. On the other hand, Hendo has a ****in IRON chin, so it's going to be difficult for Lyoto to put him away even in the late rounds, I think Machida will play it safe for a points win, I don't see him risking to let it all out vs a guy like Hendo.
Good question. Did a quick search and couldn't find which is it. My guess is that they'll make it a 5-rounder.
Correction: Just read a Hendo interview where he says 'I'll ko him or control the fight and beat him up for three rounds'. So it's gotta be three.
If its 3 rounds I'll go with Hendo.........if 5 I'll go with Machida.......either way its going to the judges.
If it's a main event on anything other than FX then it's 5 rounds. Anything else (non-title) is 3 rounds. So, if this is the main event of a non FX card then it's 5 rounds. If not... 3.
