I posted it because I claimed in an other thread that Oscar weighted 160 pounds against Chavez.
I didn't provide proof at the time, I just felt I had to do it now.

Of course when Mayweather doesn't fight you you are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Mayweather fights you and you are a bum. Back in 2008 when Cotto had wins over Zab Judah coming of back to back losses and a past his prime Shane Mosley that didn't stop guys from jumpin on his nuts. But now that Mayweather fights him ppl want to start nit picking his JMW resume.

During Cotto's Jww and WW days I always questioned his conditioning. I think Pedro did the best job in that department. Mayweather was 34-35yrs old and well past his prime moving up to an uncomfortable weight which needs to be taken into account as well but of course it won't. Trout made him look worse because he is a young fresh skilled natural JMW.

That would mean Margo was ranked in the top three ww at the time right? So why didn't Floyd fight him?

Maybe they weren't all #1's when he fought them but other than Marquez & Judah, they were current champs in the weight class he fought them at.

Epic Fail by the TS. Judah was considered number 1 and after the upset, Baldomir was. Then Oscar was num1 at 154 at the time. Even Floyd said fighting Margo is a pointless match bc he is a ESPN fighter that no one knows, not even ranked num1 so the fight will not prove who is the best. Ortiz became num1 after berto, and Cotto was too.

    What a dumbass.

I agree with a lot of what OP has said, Mayweather undeniably could have had a few tougher tests, a blind man could see that!

By "number 1", I assume you mean "number 1 according to the Pacland ratings", and not the official sanctioning bodies' and major boxing organizations' ratings, right? You still haven't given a straight answer to many other posters who mentioned Mosley, Cotto and others' rankings at the time.
