Frampton seriously need's to slow down.

 

Eddie ain't stupid, they will try to find the 'easy' route to a title shot like what's happening with bellew

 

Santa Cruz would murder him at this stage.

 

Frampton needs more fights. He is a special talent, handled Martinez better than some people give him credit for, but there is no rush. 3 or 4 more fights (including Quiqg) and then definitely.

 

this would be a brutal fight.

am big on Santa Cruz. He wasn't himself in his last fight due to a hand injury but he is a mini-Margarito in my opinion but he still has to show the heart that Margarito showed.

I'd see the fight going along the lines of last Saturday with Frampton fighting off the back foot whilst Santa Cruz will look to massage the body to slow him down.

The thing Frampton has in his favour is he is quite a big 122 fighter imo, Santa Cruz is coming up so it could take him a wee bit of time to adjust to the weight.

I spoke to Frampton about two years ago and he said that his body fat can come down as low as 2.5%, now some might cry "bull****" but Frampton himself came on this site and defended this statement also.

I was at the Froch-Bute weigh in and when Frampton got off the scales he was guzzling the water down for a good few minutes before he went to the face-to-face. I spoke to a pro trainer about him and we both agreed that he must be tight at the weight.

 

Too much of a step up for Frampton atm. He needs to have a few more fights before getting up to top world level. He'd give a good account of him himself in a close enough fight but I feel Santa Cruz would get to him late and takeover for a close points or late stoppage win.

 

We will have to see how Sant Cruz is at this weight but if he takes to it naturally I would have him against Frampton

 

This could be a problem for Eddie and Frampton really. If Eddie's right and Carl's going to fight for the winner of Romero-Lopez for the IBF title and Santa Cruz steps up, how long do you think it will be before Santa Cruz is suddenly his mandatory defence? He was IBF Champ at Bantam so I'd guess it would be too long before he was.

They've already shown that they're quite good at forcing mandatories (Brook-Alexander etc and them threatening to strip Alexander if he pulls out). How do you see this going?

 

Frampton's not ready for any top 3 or 4 fighter in the world yet. He's close but not quite. Needs a few more fighters against solid, top 10 - 15 opponents to improve and learn a bit more. Then maybe put him in with one of the big boys.

 

Frampton would be the hardest fight of his career thus far. Morel was done.

 

Everything Frampton has going for him, LSC has more of.

 

If Santa Cruz moves up well Frampton will lose, if he doesn't it would be interesting.
