You're just not that great if you get slaughtered by Brewster in 5 rounds.

There's every chance he fails to drop a bomb on Jersey Joe. I do slightly favour Brewster though.

I don't think he'd slaughter jersey in 5 rounds! I think it'd be a come from behind knockout around the 10th.

I think old Joe Louis would also have a great shot at beating Brewster. Just look at all the boxers Brewster struggled with.

And I suppose you are not great if you get slaughtered by Joe Choynski or Jim Flynn or Joe Chip...

@ Brewster, I interviewed Danny Batchelder once, and he said that Lamon was not only the hardest hitting man he ever faced, but was also the toughest, in the sense that every time Batchelder hit Brewster he hurt his hands, broke them as a matter of fact.

As for Vladimir and Rocky, I love Rocky Marciano to death, but this is one I don't know if he could have won. If it was plausible, it would come down to the fact that Marciano was very underated in the fact he could get on the inside without much damage being inflicted on him, and he had a tremendous work rate averaging 80-110 punches a round, each punch with kayo written all over it. If he were to win, he would have to stay in close the whole time and just keep pounding away and would win a decision. However, I don't know if he could have done it. Vladimir is just so bag, strong, and that jab of his is like a piston. For a big man he is quite agile and quick with the hands and feet, I don't know if Marciano could have done enough to win or survive.

The only man from bygone eras I give a solid chance of beating the brothers is Jack Dempsey because his entire career was based off his abilities against men who not only towered him but outweighed him by as much as eighty pounds. They didn't call him "Jack The Giant Killer and Slayer of Ogres" for nothing with his kayos over Morris, Fulton, Willard, Firpo, and others in exhibitions such as Bill Tate and Ben Wray.

Shufford took Brewster's bombs to the body like they were nothing. It took 3 at the maximum to ruin Wlad.

Wlad couldn't take 2 rounds of pounding from Rock let alone 12.

When he would try to get past the jab he would get pounded only to discover Wlad had moved two steps to the side and one back. On the rare occasions, he made it to his own range, he would be held in a clinch by a much bigger, much stronger man. This process would continue until the weight of the Ukranian and his debilitating jab had finally crushed the Wee Son of the Abruzzi Tribe.

I agree. I think rocky has a stylistic advantage over wlad but doesn't have the size to pull it off.

    How can you say that?
Brewster and Haye could, quite easily.
Old , slow Mormek did, repeatedly , enough to be clinched 15-20 times in round 1.
Peter floored him walking in straight limes with little movement.
The rest made little to no effort to step inside.
Rock will and the first target of attack will be to Wlads body which is proven to be unable to absorb punishment.

If Rocky had a couple more inches in height and reach, if he was about 20 pound heavier. If he was basically scaled up he'd be a favourite for me going into this fight, as is, I still haven't seen an argument convincing me he ain't too small.

Dempsey beat super heavyweights, Louis beat super heavyweights, Frazier did and Tyson also. I dont buy into an argument that just cos they did means Rocky would.
