All good things must come to an end. He is 36 and clearly battle worn. Time to step aside and let the young guns wait around for the Klits to retire(at least he had the balls to try his chances knowing he was outgunned)
If you just look on his boxing skills today he is not relevant! He lost against a Cruiserweight and now ducks Pulev because he knows he would lose! Also I think that he does not want to fight Wladimir! He is looking for an easy Payday. In his prime he got destroyed against Vitali.. noway he can be competitiv against Wladimir today! But in Poland and USA he can sell out an arena.... so he might be relevant in this countries.
shame he was never a natural HW, he's in a division where he's dwarfed by the guys around him, and to add to it he's on a serious decline since the Vitali disaster but he will be remembered as the last CW and HW to sell out arenas in the US
Adamek's decision to drop out of fighting Pulev didn't seem to please the IBF, he's been relegated from #2 to #11 in their newest ranking
People forget Adamek knocked out Travis Walker in-between his fights with Eddie Chambers and Cunnningham. Adamek is still very much relevant to the HW division
