would Lennox be troubled by any HW from the post LL-era?

Thank you for the much needed laughter. You had me almost killed at "Sultan Ibragimov".

    Quotes from Emanuel Steward

“Wladimir is gonna be the one I don’t think I could train a man to beat the way he is. I’m serious. I’ve never had a fighter – I went from Holyfield and all the guys I’ve worked with, never, Lennox – Wladimir is a very, very committed, very difficult fighter to beat. Because he won’t let you fight him. He makes you fight what he wants you to fight. But the biggest thing which I think people are not looking at is his speed for a big man. Tremendous speed. Foot Speed. He can move in, explode, move out, move back in, explode, and I’ve never seen anyone that could…move in and out and be in perfect balance”

"Wladimir has better one-punch knockout capability than Lennox"

"Wlad has the best footwork, coordination and balance of any fighter I ever worked with. He’s the most accurate, single-punch knockout guy I have ever seen. A guy can be completely fine, not hurt, and Wladimir can put his lights out with one shot."

"Wladimir’s coordination is better and he is the most powerful natural talent than any other heavyweight I have worked with."

"In terms of jab, Wladimir is the best and after him I would put Lennox. In terms of boxing arsenal, Wladimir is better than Lennox."

Wlad is more talented than Vitali and Lewis.

Wlad dominates Lewis like Vitali did and knocks him out like McCall and Rahman did.

Lewis would get brutally KTFO by a steelhammer right hand from Wlad.

    Vitali >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lewis

    Wlad >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lewis

umm.. Southpaws would probably give him problems, he avoided them, like glass jaw fighter who avoids punchers.

Anyone who can punch is a nightmare for Lewis. He was laid out cold in his prime by two journeyman with a single punch. There have been many HW's since Lennox's era capable of KO'ing him, if he fought enough of them he WOULD get knocked. With his jaw and lack of recuperation powers, it's only a matter of time.

Brittards seem to forget that he was knocked out TWICE in his PRIME by JOURNEYMEN. There is no arguing that.

Vladimir23 could have been "ok" had he be only nuthugging Wlad, but why defend Vitali?
He has a good resume... for a mere titlist, won't make him an ATG.
Got beaten two times by the best men he ever fought.

Besides his h2h ability in his prime, Vitali isn't that much.
And h2h ability without resume is useless anyway.

Do you think David Tua, Shannon Briggs, Tommy Morrison, Razor Ruddock, Vitali Klitschko, Frank Bruno could be classified as punchers?

    6 fighters there.
Lewis stopped 5 of them (yes, Vladimir23 you read that right).

    6 punchers.
All but one stopped before or during the 7th by Lewis.

Not exactly what I'd call having a nightmare.

He struggled at times in some of the fights, but won all of them.

I don't see anyone since he retired that isn't one of the two brothers giving him any trouble at all.
Nobody really has troubled either of them, so what do they bring against Lewis that they didn't against either brother?

You guys...200 lb Zeljko ****ing Mavrovic TROUBLED LEWIS. Brittards must've not seen that fight. Mavrovic troubled Lewis. Now ask yourself, is Mavrovic the best HW since LL not named Klitschko? Didn't think so.

I saw the fight a few years ago. My memory was telling me that "troubled" was a bit of an exaggeration.

So, I had to check out the official scoring.

    119-109
    117-111
    117-112

So. At the time, a 26-0 (22 KO) fighter, with 7 succesful European Heavywight Title fights wins either:

    1
    3
    2 - with one 10-10 round

    rounds in the fight

And you call that "troubled"? A 9-3 decision AT WORST?

I realise being a Wladimir fan, you may not have realised that it is actually possible for a guy to get hit in the face and not crumble, but occasionally it does happen.

Mercer troubled Lewis. That would be a fair description.
This fight was an entertaining, one sided fight.

This was a fight where a guy just took a huge amount of punishment and kept going. Zeljko was as hard as nails. He landed a few of his own, but honestly, this wasn't a close fight by any stretch of the imagination.
