Nacho: JMM is looking at Brandon Rios, not Pacquiao

I love it! Its Marquez's way of ****ing over Arum yet again. He ****ed him up twice already, Pac/Marquez 3 and 4. And if you recall, Arum wanted Pacquiao/Rios too.

 

I wonder how many clean shots Rios could take from JMM? Bad fight for Arum to make as he'd be shortening the career of one of his young fighters even if Rios managed to win.

However if I could choose one opponent for JMM at this point in his career, I'd pick Broner.

 

Why wouldn't Arum give his prime young fighter a shot at his first PPV and huge exposure against a 40 year old man?


The question is why would Marquez take this fight though? Rios is so young, strong, and active. He'll get a ton of props from to if he takes this fight.

 

The answer is pretty simple : While Pacquiao is still in the picture, there is much more money to be made from another Pac/Marquez fight, and Rios can be set up to fight either of them another day.

 

Or he could fight Marquez and Pac...seeing as both will be gone by 2014, why not feed both to a guy who will be there for a lot longer?
