Why Has JMM Not Fought Any Young Lions In Recent Years...

Jmm has been after pac since the 2nd & 3rd fight. Hes a smart man, consodering the opponets he has faced since pac 2 (aside from floyd) he hasent put him self in big risk fights.. look how alot of people said that jmm will never face pac after the sencond, but because of his custom shirts and constant **** talk he finally got pac to agree to a 3rd and 4th. Now that hes done with pac its been rumored there eyeing rios a young hungry lion. I just think jmm is a man of pride and he wasent going to go out 0-1-1 against pac, he did what he had to do to secure a 3rd and 4th with out risk.

 

You shoud strap one of them spikes on Pacs back. ( only smaller )

Diaz was a solid young lion.

Marquez has not been interested in the young lions 1. because he's a bigger draw 2. because he was desperate for the Pacquiao rematches. Why risk ANYTHING if you can fight Pacquiao again?

But now JMM is calling out Brandon Rios.

 

The man is almost 40. i dont mind if he pic some older foes to secure some money before retiering. To be honest, i dont think Marquez pics his opponents,i think he just takes what he gets, and they happens to be up in age.

 

His last fights have been Pacquiao, Fedchenko, Pacquiao, Ramos, Katsidis, Diaz, Mayweather, Diaz.

3/8 were the 2 best P4P fighters in the world.

2/8 were tune-ups

3/8 have been "young lions", don't see why Diaz a second time doesn't count, he was showing great boxing skills. And for some reason a lot were picking Diaz to win the rematch. Both of his fights with Diaz/Katsidis were FOTY.

Guerrero would only make money today because of what he did against Berto.

On the JMM-Diaz 2 card, Guerrero gave a truly horrid performance against a shot Casamayor, getting dropped in the 12th round of a boring decision win out of sheer complacency. After that, his best win was a decision against Katsidis, who Marquez had just stopped in thrilling fashion. By the time Guerrero was going to move up to fight Aydin, Marquez-Pacquiao 3 was already happening and Marquez reinvigorated his legacy. Makes much more sense.

 

Why would he fight young lions for peanuts when he had the opportunity to fight the best fighters in the world on PPV for serious money? He's taken enough stupid fights in his career, he was old when he fought Chris John in Indonesia

Haha, actually Marquez fighting ANYONE younger than him is a young lion. He shouldn't and won't even worry about that, it's more the young lions and the fighters he's faced having to think of going thru the humiliation of getting beat by a fighter 5, 10, 15 yrs older than them!
