Always was a Hatton fan but i always thought Cotto would beat him

Hatton would have a chance to maybe get lucky and shake Cotto who could be vulnerable but Cotto was a destroyer at 140

he punished guys, he threw hard unwasted power shots and broke guys, at welter you can see a small decline in his fighting prior to his losses

Hatton certainly has a chance but I favor Cotto.

    Cotto by white wash.

Cotto wasn't a 36 year old, washed up Tsyzu when he was at 140lb

Hatton stops Cotto late on at 140lb in Hattons prime Cotto wasn't as strong as Hatton was at 140lb no way.

I'd expect Cotto to come in weaker than Hatton at 140 it's a different story at 147 Cotto wins.

would be my dream match. When they were both undefeated i would go with hatton. He is massively underrated and his pressure would produce a win for him. It would be a 11/12 round tko.

Hatton could stop a 140lb Cotto. That'll sound crazy to some people but I'll explain why.

Cotto ALWAYS had trouble making weight during his whole period as a Champion at JWW. Now, if you've had to drain your body to reach a weight limit, then the last thing that body needs, is a man who is prepared to rip it all night long with savage hooks.

The feet would be key here. Hatton was better than Cotto on his feet at 140. Miguel only introduced his Latino style movement at 147 Where he had to. At the lower weight, Cotto kept his hands high, and walked guys down. Ricky on the other hand, manouvered in at angles using his feet.

Cotto has every chance, and it's probably much closer to 50/50 that I've made it sound.
