No upper body movement, he gets away with it now because he's a big guy @135 and no one can really hurt him. These brawling tactics won't last long at 140,147,154. I love to watch him fight but camparisions to Floyd are a bit far fetched. Once he gets in there with a Stiff jab and good body puncher, he's really gonna have a tough night. First of all fighting someone his size we really get to see what he's made if the last three guys were way undersized for him, but that's match making and why he looks so good.
he's going to have trouble with guys who box because he doesn't generate much offense at range. he also seems to get hit with overhands every time because he doesn't move his feet nor uppder body.
He definitely took more shots than he needed to take but I respect him for being willing to take them. It makes for exciting fights. I think if Broner's opponents require him to change his approach during a fight he'll most likely make the necessary adjustments. There was no such requirement in the Rees fight. The dude is incredibly talented but, Dear Lord, can we please not have the pre-fight rap concerts anymore.
There's a few warning signs there for sure. Good thing for Broner he probably has another fight or two at 135 to try to improve on things, particularly defensively. Even so I think the right fighter at 140 or 147 takes him out.
:deal He got hit because he chose to fight that way. He had no respect for Rees and fought arrogantly, but he sure as hell knows how to entertain the fans.
Try no lower body movement. The dude gets compared to mayweather, but has no footwork whatsoever. That is why he gets hit too much.
I hate his attitude and personality but... This kid is monster and extremely talented. To be honest I don't find many guys who could beat this kid.
