I think he got hit more than he needed to in this fight. I do think he had the reach, and size to control distance. With those advantages I dont doubt he could have gone 12 without being touched very often. There seems to be a very specific number of times a fighter needs to get hit in public opinion. Get hit too much you'll be considered too easy to hit. If you make sure you dont take punches your heart is called into question
People are drastically overrating how much he got hit. Yeah he got hit with a few clean shots, one of which he was being a little cocky during a break, but a lot of shots he dlocked/rolled, but as usual people can't discern between a blocked punch and landed one. They just saw rees letting his hands go and concluded that he was landing.
I think if you were to tally it up, Rees might have outlanded Broner overall. There was just a big discrepancy in power. It was plain as day Rees was getting to his body over and over again. As Max said, he got hit more in that fight than he did at all in his last few fights.
Rees was no threat doesn't have any power wouldn't take last night into consideration really he was facing a guy so overmatched and he knew it.
http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=460142 does Matthysse, GGG, and Lucas get hit too much for your liking?
his headmovement was actually much improved last night what's worse? People defending him or the multiple no life losers like yourself going out of your way to talk **** about him It takes more energy to hate than it does to support
**** me. You can't actually assess a fighter's performance without a bunch of Beiber-esque fans jumping in and getting emotional. It's embarrassing.
He got hit big deal he knocked his man down twice and stopped him in 5 rounds. Rees came to fight and didn't come in to lie down.
Why the need to jump in and moan about someone critiquing an aspect of a popular fighter's game? It's a boxing forum.
He gets hit cause he lets his hands go and fights..now if he just stayed on defense people would complain he is boring
You gents see that behind the head punch Broner threw? He be cutting up in there. He is nothing like Mayweather personality wise. He is more like Ali. The only thing, Ali knew how to phrase his answers better. Make no mistake, underneath all that **** talking beats the heart of a true champion.
