If Ward would've accepted the fight with Bute ...

Possible Bute could not defend Froches punches and Ward is much much faster, while Ward doesnt have Froch power Bute would not be able to see the punches coming i can see Ward stopping him late, when you fight b level all your life step up to A showes you big flaws like it showed Butes **** defense!

 

You make it sound like he's ducked Bute for an easier fight.The guy's retired which is a different story altogether.
Even as a Bute fan,it's a very skewed view you have of it.When Pavlik decided that he can't overcome his demons and has given up on the career that made him a star,you really have to accept that it doesn't make Bute some sort of victim.
I'm no huge fan of Pavlik but you're being very,very unfair with that description of events.
And I know you know Bute so you're in a better position to comment on what I'm going to say,but he strikes me as the type of guy who would empathise with what Pavlik's gone through in the weeks leading up to announcing his retirement.
I apologise if I'm wrong but I don't see Bute being the type of guy who would blame Pavlik the way it seems you are.

 

So Ward ducked a fight that couldn't happen because of injury because he said he was unproven(100% true)? And he said that Bute should fight a top fighter and he did and got stopped.

I think a Ward late stoppage is entirely possible.

 

Bute leads, Ward counters him, outsmarts him by making Bute fight close, Ward survives a bodyshot, but humbles Bute and stops him late. The gap between the 2 isn't even close.

Ward isn't a power puncher & while Bute would probably lose, he'd do a lot better than most seem to think. he's long & rangy with a good jab. I think he'd be competitive till around round 8 cause Ward would push a blistering pace & dominate the championship rounds to win a competitive ud.

 

Ward wins an ugly fight, it must be hard for him sitting on the sidelines just now with these two big fights going on in May on the same night and with every possibility the winners could collide ...

 

And he could well just swoop in and fighter the winner of THAT fight.

He's a better fighter than all 4 IMO, it must grate on him that Froch & Kessler will make $3M + and Pascal & Bute
