is it too early for Burns/Vasquez winner, to fight on May 4th after fighting on March 16th?

Broner is supposedly down to fight.

Any chance we see Broner-Burns/Vasquez 7 weeks after the latters fight?

Why the heck would that fight be on May 4? It could easily headline its own card. No reason to stick it on the undercard of a PPV that has two high profile fights at the top of the card. Everyone makes more money by sticking it elsewhere.

If Burns wins no way he fights Broner in the summer. They'll milk a couple more easy defences out of him AT LEAST.

IF he beats Vasquez, BIG if, then they'll want to put him in a big fight in Scotland to get more money coming in. Won't stick him straight in with Broner.

Well, it obviously won't be Burns, since he "won't have enough time to prepare".

They are not going to pay him the money he was asking any way. Especially not added to that card.

One of the reasons Burns turned down a recent Broner fight was because he wants a full training camp, can't see Burns fighting 7 weeks after what will probably be a competitive fight. I think Billy Nelson on the Brit forum mention 12 week camp.

So if he beats Vasquez(and it's far from certain he will) as the lineal champ and holder of two belts,he should jump at the first date Broner is being told to fill?
If he has those belts, he has every right to demand Broner travels, and he said he would if "the check is paid"
Much as I think Broner has the edge,I still hope the fight comes off but people need to realise that holding two belts means you don't need to dance to Broner's shitty rapping.

I don't doubt for one minute Burns will fight Broner. I do, however, has massive doubts that his team want the fight. And in his recent interview Broner gave them a way out . . .

Broner said that he'll stick around at 135 for a Burns/Vasquez fight, but if that doesn't happen then he'll go to 140. If Burns does win I think his team will then take an easy defence in front of a home crowd in the summer, meaning Broner will go up to 140.

As much as I'd like to see Burns beat Vasquez, part of me kind of wants to see Vasquez win the fight as I think there's a far greater chance of seeing Vasquez-Broner than Burns-Broner.

Yeah, but have you SEEN Vasquez? I don't even know if Broner can make that an exciting fight.

Broner's HBO for the time being. No chance he's on that card.

That was something I was going to chuck in to my last post but never did - I think the biggest risk to Vasquez-Broner is if Broner actually wants the fight.

I'm of the opinion that fighting Broner is now a daunting prospect for Ricky, but he's hurting from the criticism and IF he beats Vasquez, I think he'll tell his team that they have to make the fight while Broner's still at 135.
That's not to say they'll agree, and I think Broner will be even better at 140.

If Burns wins that will be too soon for a fight of that magnitude, would need to be June/July time for them to take it i'd imagine, didn't they say they like a 12 week camp for a fight like that?
