If the Klitschkos were black, they would be your favorite fighters.

so the haymon/gbp/showtime war with top rank/other promoters/hbo begins in earnest.

hbo still entertained hopes of giving each promoter fair shot at hbo. i think in a way hershman was foolish. by doing so... hbo will ultimately have to boycott gbp.

He just started his prime, give him a little more time. He likes to take challenges and is a gold medalist, he will make more fans. I have had some of my sport nut friends asking about him after reading about him in sports illustrated. His time is about to come. Also, the middleweight division is starting to blow up. He will be a factor for some of those huge fights once these other guys make names for themselves.

Pacquiao is on his last leg and Broner is with Golden Boy which means he's next to Showtime.

Don't ever underestimate the power of HBO.As they said in their statement in regards to Mayweather-they made a RESPONSIBLE offer. In other words not a ridiculous offer which will bite Showtime in the ass.
Only time will tell, but someone is right and someone is wrong.

Why do they have to have PPV? Showtime has had maybe 5 PPV's in the last 10 years total.

HBO simply will be out of the PPV business for a while just like Showtime was. That is probably a good thing maybe they will buy more competitive fights.

Because those PPV figures for HBO are a large part of what brings in the profits to make other fights and pay other fighters.

Does this mean that Fossil Bob will have free reigns to showcase his Latin Fury's and Pinoy Power's on HBO?

    Yepee!

They will just change their business model like Showtime did. These things go in cycles.

Ward ,respect his skill but have purposely missed most if not all of his fights live on hbo before I cancelled it & let me tell he's far from exciting much less the savior.
