Appears this could happen later this year for the WBA Title at light heavy.

    Who wins and why.

I am going Kessler by brutal KO

Kessler at this stage would beat up Roy. :-(

Kessler would defeat Roy by UD at this stage of his career, perhaps 116-112, or maybe 117-111.

Whilst Roy looked excellent in beating Trinidad, it could hardly be said that Felix was in top condition at 170, and inactive, therefore was there to be taken.

I would like to see Roy bust open Tarver, following Tarver's destruction at the hands of Clinton Woods - send the wanker into retirement!

Kessler was beating Calzaghe midway through the fight, but fell asleep just as Joe was beginning to come up with his best work, and consequently lost 116-112.

RJJ easy UD. Kessler is good, but very overrated.

He showed a LOT of openings that RJJ would expose.

Would be an interesting match - Kessler UD. However, the rumour that Kessler moves up is denied by his (trustworthy?) manager Mogens Palle in local press today.

If this fight happens - I'm going with Roy.

But if Roy is looking for a fight partner for right now - Miranda is avaliable!!!

    Trustworth? :yep :yep :yep

He's about as trustworthy as Emperor Palpatine!

In fact manager and trustworthy shouldn't even be used in the same sentence.

Damn - I'm very surprised so many would pick old RJJ over Kessler at this point.

Kessler would beat precentday Jones easy ... a prime RJJ is a whole other ballgame...

    kessler!!

kessler showed weakness against calzaghe, but can roy jones do a calzaghe and keep tight apllying loads of pressure??

but i dunno kessler i think is over rated

It would be a great fight with Kess getting home over a puffed out RJJ by a round or 2.

And here I am thinking Calzaghe was succeeding once he changed to a more defense-distance oriented type of boxing. It wasn't load of pressure that made him succeed IMO. On the contrary.

I'm not surprised because RJJs footwork can be a potential nightmare for Kessler. I know RJJ can't dance like he used to, put I can stil see Kessler having problems hitting him. Kessler needs to improve his footwork in terms of both speed and patterns IMO. I think he needs it badly if he wants to cope significantly better against the likes of RJJ and Calzaghe.

A completely shot out of his depth Trinidad had no problem hitting him, so I don't see how that's the case

Old Tarver and Johnson didn't have much of a problem either...

No wonder Roy still thinks he's superman, when people STILL pick him in these fights. Kessler wins, brutal KO.
