I agree with this and all the other points you're making on Froch. I want Kessler to win but I he may have slipped now. Froch is skilled in a deceptive way with some of the things he does but he is mainly just a beast, imo Taylor had won pretty much every round going into the last and if he was fitter he would have won.

Give him credit for Bute but I don't think that means he's improved and the Mack fight told us very little we didn't already know.

I agree about Groves too, don't rate his chin and his power is good but it wouldn't be a get out of jail car against Froch. Groves definetly doesn't hit like Kessler imo.

2 - 3 BIG fights left, but they must take place in the next year or so,

after that his interest will be gone. he has already hinted at packing it in after a few more fights, and that was said a couple of fights ago...

I believe Froch has gained the acceptance of the fans off the back of the Super 6 tournament. He stood with the best and proved he belonged. I feel that new found confidence is the difference. For me he has nothing left to prove to anybody, and that alone makes him very dangerous.

I don't think so. I think the world knew just how pampered both of those fighters were. Especially Bute. And Abraham is average at best. Going into those fights, plenty of knowledgeable people said the same thing. The fact that Carl Froch who isn't blessed with boxing skills beat Abraham in a punch perfect fight, tells you all you need to know about Abraham.

Bute is no doubt one of the most pampered paper domesticated blanketed champions this world has ever seen. Everybody knew he was fragile and protected, and the first time he was out of the comfort zone, he got demolished.

We won't even talk about Mack. What an awful laughable fight that was, the moment it was announced, mandatory or no mandatory, that was a pathetic fight and a gimme.

And those are Froch's last two fights, Bute and Mack, and people are saying Froch has improved immensely?

Personally, I just dont see it. And I won't be looking at either of those fights to see the improvements. I think people are over rating Carl Froch simply because he fights the best and he is a warrior. His record of recent isn't actually that great at all. Schooled by Andre Ward, schooled by Taylor for 11 rounds, squeezed through Dirrell, MD over Glen Johnson, beat by Kessler.

And in between some of those, beat Athrur Abraham in a punch perfect performance against a predictable and one dimensional fighter. And blitzed Bute and Mack in the last two fights.

Carl Froch NEEDS to win this next fight IMO.

But I will say that Froch was always a slow starter, and that seems to have improved a bit.

If Kessler is allowed to bang in the body shots I think he could floor him and maybe stop froch ... the body is the area to hit.

    I agree Smog.

I just dont think Froch is untouchable, and the older he gets, the less huge shots he will be able to take. Thats the same for any fighter. Froch clearly has great punch resistance, but I still think he can be got at. I'm picking Kessler to win this fight surprisingly by KO, or by a close SD. But I would not be surprised if Carl pulled it of either, because he needs to win this fight more than Kessler, and avenge the defeat.

But I've said from day one of this fights announcement, I can see Carl Froch going down at least once in this fight. Win or lose it. Froch has to be caught of guard, but he is also a master of seeing the oncoming punch, if he doesnt see it, he goes stiff legged. I've seen it plenty of times.

A well timed body shot may put him down! But equally, a well timed uppercut or short quick hook to the head may do the trick for Kessler. But he MUST follow it up.

What fight were you watching? He was outboxed for the first half of the fight and was slowly coming back. He was 2 or 3 rounds behind thats hardly being schooled. Schooling someone is the sort of thing Mayweather does to fighters.

I'm not the only one :good

    Boxing is abut opinions.

In my opinion, Bradley beat Pacquiao. Ward schooled Froch for 12 rounds. And Taylor dominated a fight for at least 9-10 rounds, and threw it all away. Credit for Froch for keeping in there and going to the final bell. But he was outclassed for the vast majority of the fight. And in my estimation, that is classed as a schooling.

Winning a fight for 9-10 rounds to then get knocked out in the 12th is not a schooling. Think about the word ''schooling!''. Flawed performances are not 'schoolings'

No one has dished out a proper schooling on Froch. Froch actually gave Ward the toughest fight he's had in the pro's. Froch then probably Bika.
I'll agree Ward beat Froch very convincingly, but it was hardly a schooling or a masterclass. Ward gasssed late and got sloppy. If boxers still did 15 rounds that fight could've got very interesting in the last 3 rounds.

I disagree about Bradley but I agree about the other two, it isn't just that Taylor was beating Froch he was beating him easy, same with ward although in all honesty Ward did look a bit tired in the last 3.
Bollex that like, Miranda, Boone and Bika both gave Ward a tougher test, infact, Kessler probably did as well Froch only gave him about as many problems as Abraham did. There was not a single round which Froch clearly won, unlike Bika who clearly did win some of the rounds

I think Kessler will win the rematch. For mehe is a little bit technically better than Froch. Froch is a tough guy as well but toughness per se is not the key to winning a prize fight.

I forgot about the Darnell Boone fight.
On the cards only Boone's been closer than Froch against Ward, but I dont think that was a 12 round fight.
Ward never schooled Froch, I stick by that.

Froch was completely demoralized, you could see it written all over his face. He was in denial, disbelief even. Even raising an arm at the end of a fight. Froch wont admit it, because he is to proud and stubborn a man, but deep down he knows it, he couldn't hide it.

He actually lives by the 10 Warrior commandments. He will never admit Andre Ward did what he did. He couldn't even bring himself to say it at the end of the fight, instead shifting the focus to "I didnt feel like me in there"

Wasn't saying that before the fight though was he? "Best shape of my life" He can't knock me out, I can knock him out though"

Like Mayweather and Broner, Ward is of the same cloth. They all have a plan before the fight, and crumble during the fight. Nobody has done it before, what makes you think your the one who can do it now? Unless your special and blessed with the same level of skills, your better of keeping your mouth shut until after the fight. Being quietly confident is the key to beat these fighters, and when they switch, you keep up and switch to.

But no, every single fighter gets early success, and then fight the same way from the 1st to the last, and then wonder why they got figured out?

In your opinion, Froch was never schooled by Ward. So tell me, what is a schooling? Lacy vs Calzaghe? That wasn't even a schooling, that was more than a schooling.

Ward schooled Froch. End of. It is what it is, nobody can change it. Not even Carl, unless he gets a rematch to change opinion. But the same will happen again. He will fall short. Ward is another level.
