Hamed was embarassing in that fight. I've never seen someone so cocky while being schooled.

maybe but i think naz's style is all wrong when it comes to world class operators. Need more of a defence and his reflexes would have only got him so far.

 

A young Barrera was so confident in his offensive ability that he had a tendency to lunge in at times, but if the best Hamed fans can get is that prime Naz beats young and unseasoned Barrera then yeah, it's all yours.
But Barrera from the age of 24 would beat any Hamed.He's the same stylistic nightmare for Hamed that Pacquaio was for him.

By the way, Mr. Thread Starter guy, Hamed loses to Barrera at anytime in Hamed's career. I picked him to win by a 4th round KO. I was wrong. After seeing the fight play out, Barrera was just the better boxer, plain and simple.

 

Sorry,meant 5 to 1 in my last post!Agree with this.I think Hameds confidence had gone before this fight,just didn't look like he thought he could win.Maybe it was the string of knockdowns he'd suffered in previous fights,or the fact he was facing a man who would not be intimidated,bigger{contrary to what they thought before the fight}tougher and better.He had a great run,was really entertaining and very talented.But as you said,didn't climb back.He kept saying he was going to be a legend,and this is what people like Duran and the man who beat him did,more than once,climb back.Hungry fighters.

IMHO, that was one of the best displays of boxing skills in the 90s.

It was funny to see Hamed come to the ring on a flying magic carpet and leave all ****ed up hahahaha.

He never cameback to the states.....

You would had thought that Hatton would had learned from Hamed and not come to the USA...hahaha

 

Prime Hamed only goes life and death with the likes of Sanchez and Kelley. Anyone beyond that like Morales, Marquez, Barrera and Pacquiao pummels him.
