Peter accomplished much more in the sport. Seldon might have been a little more physically gifted, outside of the chin, but Peter's drive carried him to higher success.
Spot on, as usual. :good Judging Seldon's entire career on one night against an absolute beast is doing him a disservice. What's even worse is when people try to do the same with Michael Spinks.
You mean when he freeze/quit once? Let's see how Peter fight that mid 90's version of Tyson? I doubt Peter with his style make it out the first round.
both sucked..but atleast Peter took his beating like a man..Seldon just threw the damn fight with Tyson
Bruce Seldon was a better fighter. Sam Peter was tough but he was like the black Butterbean and had no technique at all
So Tyson was scary, big ****ing deal. The rest of the bums who were terrified of him at least waited to get hit before they had enough. Even a stiff like McNeely at least had the dumb palooka gumption to go out there and throw.
It was a shocking career-blotting moment of cowardice from a fighter who wasn't really that good in the first place and who was mostly just one of Don King's house bums. Deal with it.
