Barrera-Morales I might be the greatest fight of all time. You seldom see two fighters of that caliber go toe-to-toe for 12 rounds. It doesn't happen.

Pavlik-Miranda was entertaining, but for the most part it was a one-sided beatdown. Pavlik basically kicked Miranda's ass for six rounds, taking some shots here and there, before brutally putting him away in the 7th.

Taylor-Pavlik was much more competitive and dramatic. It also ended with a highlight reel knockout.

Agreed. Hearns-Hagler Round 1 was awesome don't get me wrong, but you could tell right away Hearns blew his load and wasn't the same in rounds 2 or 3.

great fight man yes modern classic for sure, instant classic IMHO, Taylor coming off of two back to back wins over BHop, a questionable performance against spinks while Pavlik was coming off of some very impressive wins over Zertuche and Miranda.
Taylor looked so much more improved though to be honest he did, he caught Pavlik early in the fight and dropped him only to go mental on us and throw all of his bullets away and tire himself out giving Kelly the time to recover and mount a comeback and finish strong.
I believe that was also the first time HBO used that Super HD Camera the replays looked phenomenal and Brutal.
Great great fight, fight 2 wasnt bad either.... wasnt a classic but it was still a good match.
