I don't think Peterson has a problem with Testosterone....

I actually saw that special. I'm familiar with the idea that people that have received brain trauma have reduced testosterone and often irrational behavior (Holyfield). But this didn't enter my mind as a possibility considering Peterson's youth and lack of hard fights.

He doesn't need to suffer from low T, he just shouldn't be allowed to compete. Why should the threshold for synthetic T be 6:1 if the average ratio is 1:1? It makes no sense to allow supplementation to a level that is the upper boundary of all natural athletes. I would be a lot more willing to believe his story if his TRT was just maintaining the average ratio, rather than an extreme point on a bell curve.

This is a very good point. Their is some weak justification for TE ratios greater then 1:1. But there is no reason that TRT should be used to go any higher then 1:1.

Are you being serious? you got to be ******ed if you have that opinion, and it has nothing to do with your geographical location.

He knows that as long as he doesn't sign a contract explicitly agreeing to it then he'll never undergo any additional testing, like the VADA testing that caught him out before.

He's now back to doing the same testing for the first Khan fight, the same testing the didn't catch him cheating the first time, the same testing he's done for his entire career bar the time he got caught cheating.

Not even trying to be funny.

The facts are the one time he signed up for additional testing, he got rumbled. Now he doesn't have to ever do that testing again. So there's no deterrent at all not to cheat.

If it`s monitored and kept within physiological norms...at least IMO, an athlete on legitimate TRT should compete. He isn`t gaining an unnatural advantage in the traditional sense when we think of PED use. It is keeping him within his natural limitations hormonally.....if monitored. That pellet implant Peterson supposedly has is not metering out large doses...it titrates tiny doses over a long period, and is designed to maintain physiological levels. If and athlete only sticks to receiving that treatment, for a legitimate condition, it`s not a huge deal really as the benefits are not pushing his body or performance past what a normal natural male athlete could attain. You can argue that it is aiding performance simply by allowing him to be normal hormonally, where without treatment he would not be......but if the TRT is kept within normal levels range....it`s really a level playing field.

It is a grey area, where everyone`s opinion does have merit either for or against. I just don`t see an issue with Legit, Monitored TRT for a real condition. I do have issue with obtaining scripts to keep on a dose of test year round, while enhancing that minimal dose with additional PEDs, which does occur frequently.
