Price got hit bang on the ear .. didn't look really hard though, and the evidence is everywhere of him in the AMs being rocked, dropped and stopped, his punch resistance is just not that good ..and to think Price fans used to rip into Fury about his?Anyway not gonna turn this into a thread about Fury ... wish Price all the best, needs a complete overhaul before getting back in the saddle.

yeah what were those people shouting?

Price seems sound, wish him well but he's a good domestic level fighter and no more really.

He will come back from this. Its a massive setback but as he says it happens. Bruno got stopped by Smith when he was the hot prospect and big Frank came back from it. As Price said look at Audley. Also nice of Price to congratulate Audley when he has had such a crap night himself. It is a defeat but it isnt the end of the world or Price`s career.

He seems a nice person and I hope he can carry on and win a belt, but the question on his chin has been answered. The annoying thing is Khan get's ko'd with a side of the head shot and people say o he has a china chin, then when Price gets ko'd with a side of the head shot the same people say how can you say he has a rubbish chin he didn't even get hit on the chin.

The thing is he's fast approaching 30,is there time to really work on him?His defense is woeful, keeps his hands too low at times .. where is the jab?He only lets his hands go when his opponent is on the ropes .. most of his time is spent walking around karate chopping the air.I hope he can come back because his power is frightening and he could potentially cause some upsets along the way.

when will people learn that you just cant ****ing write someone off completely after one defeat, it's an issue but jesus christ, it wasn't so long ago that Khan got sparked in a round and EVERYBODY (including myself I have to admit) was saying that he just might be finished, at least no way did I suspect he would go on to achieve what he did and still could do

think the problem with Price's situation is hes a heavy weight, most heavies can punch and its not like hes got the excuse of being weight drained. Saying that, Lennox came back from a bad KO to be the best heavy weight of his generation.

The problem Price is, is that he is not a confident guy.

"If i was 6"8/6"9, i would not work, or pay for anything! I would just walk into shops and tell shop owners that i am taking this and that, i would just turn upto different jobs unannounced and demand payment into my bank account"

I would just walk around doing this on a weekly basis.

If he had David Haye's or Audley Harrison's personality/confident/stubbornness, he would be back on track in no time. His punch resistance has always been a big question, and i think its his only massive flaw.

It was worrying the way he went down, that was not even a massive shot. Harrison & Haye look to have better punch resistance.

To be fair, Khan took some ****ing BOMBS off Prescott before he got put away.

The shot that hit Price didn't look like much, I mean people are gonna say about the ear and all that and yeah I'm sure that played a part but seriously, are we gonna sit here and pretend it didn't look really really bad for Price? He got put on ***** street off a guy who isn't known for being a massive KO artist with a punch that looked like nothing, even Thompson looked surprised when Price hit the deck.

Still, I'm not writing him off completely, He can come back, he can learn from his mistakes and maybe go onto win a european title but I can't see him winning a world title ever (even in this heavyweight division).

And before people say i'm over reacting, I've said this about Price for a while.

The reason I had my doubts is this, can you ever remember a prospect in boxing getting THREE 40+ Opponents in a row? it's almost unheard of, it made me suspect his management were hiding something and trying to cash in whilst they could, and now I think what they were hiding is pretty clear.

But, he seems like a great bloke and he was very classy in defeat, I wish him all the best, I hope he goes onto win a world title and prove me wrong but I really really can't see it.

The Price fanboys will tell you that punch would have knocked out any HW ever .. Cableaddict in another thread went as far as saying it would have knocked out Ali  ... I respect your opinion on Price as it's pretty much the same as mine man.

Lennox Lewis could of carried on after Mccall, and after Rahman! That was a massive punch, and Lennox Lewis was not acclimatised to the altitude.

Price was hit by a half hearted punch.

    There's a massive difference.

The biggest difference being that Lewis was actually superior in every single department, people comparing Price to Lewis in defeat etc are barking up the wrong tree .. seen people go as far as saying Price is the next Lewis etc,it's madness.
