I'm ignoring all the troll threads that Iron_Chin's alt accounts are making on the fight but still, I've yet to see anything confirmed for it (opponent, venue, date etc.). Has there been anything I've missed or are we all still waiting?

I've seen the rumours about Senchenko or Lopez maybe and they'd be decent fights I suppose for Amir. He clearly needs a step up from the likes of Molina to see where his progress is at under Hunter and these two would be, but crucially they are fights you would expect Khan to win at the same time. Lopez would be ideal IMO as I don't think he's particularly good but he has a style that could worry Khan so it could be a chance to try out things he's been working on against an opponent that he ought to beat anyhow.

Remember, Lopez was clearly behind to Ortiz by the time it was stopped & Khan's at a higher level than him so Josesito shouldn't unduly worry him I don't reckon.

If it's in the UK, then don't expect it to be someone like Lopez. He wouldn't go out of his way to come here when he has decent options -- like Maidana -- on his home soil.

Theophane or Ajose would be good fights to make.

It will probably be another light-punching lightweight :-(

A UK bill with Khan, McDonnell & Ogogo on would be nice, especially if they could supplement it with maybe a foreign star from Golden Boy's stable too. I wouldn't be surprised to see Lopez come here, he's not a big star is he to be honest & I'm sure the money he'd get for fighting Khan would be as good if not better than he'd get for a Maidanafight in America.

Olusegun would be a very interesting fight but I guess he'd be in that "Who needs him?" bracket as his awkward style could frustrate Khan. As it is really just another rebuilding fight, I doubt they'd look for something like that.

For me, Theophane would be an awful fight. This is a man who has struggled at domestic level since coming back to the US and coming off the back of a loss to Darren Hamilton, I honestly couldn't see what the use would be in Khan fighting him.

Latest name linked was Julio Diaz in the UK on April 27th. Would be part of a Showtime split-site tripleheader. Judah/Garcia and Quillin/Guerrero in New York, Khan in the UK.

I'm hearing that it's going to be Diaz too. Bit disappointed if that is the case. Would have liked someone better because Diaz is a shot fighter.

Wow, really? That's not good at all. I know he got the draw vs. Porter last time out and that but he's well past his best which wasn't that great to begin with anyway.

Yeah, crap fight if it happens. Porter was never that good to start off with, just got hype as Pac's sparring partner.
