And sportsbooks wouldn't be the least bit suspicious if someone but 200K (assuming you could put that much on such a bet, which you can't) on a second round KO by Tony Thompson. Oh no, wouldn't bat an eye. They'd pay out the 5 million in winnings ASAP to Mr. John Jay Price, with no investigation.
How many legit punches that seem to be *not so powerful* end up putting a fighter down, and out? Answer........too many to list. Bottom line.............Price was TKOed by a legit shot to the head.
In Ottke-Mundine, the aftermath of a glancing shot from a feather fisted puncher looked like it belonged on a Julian Jackson highlight reel. This was legit. It just landed in the perfect spot to mess up Price's equilibrium.
That KO had a more devastating effect of his promoter frank maloney who really thought he was going back down the old yellow brick road to revisit the land of Mega $$$$$$. David Price was his new Lennox Lewis & now it's all evaporated $$$$ wise & Frank could do with the money!
He took a weak right hand to the back of his jaw/ear area and he was out. Why would he take a dive to cash out when his career had big money in the future?
he definitely needs to learn that Klitschko clinch, Wladimir would never be seen throwin punches from the angle Price did
Well he'd have to dominate the Heavyweight division for a decade and obtain 5 belts before he can do that :good
Wladimir has never gone down from such a incredibly weak punch though. Hell it usually takes a few bombs and then he still gets up. EVERY heavyweight on the planet is going to get hit by weak shots like that, if you can't take those you just wont get very far. Even Mayweather has to take a semi hard punch every now and then.
Actually, to be like Wladimir he should have a chin strong enough to resist the various shots Thompson succesfully landed on Waldo, with no consequences
