Will Mayweather jr (gatti) Guerrero? I smell a beating!!

Well for one, Floyd is no longer the same fighter he was in the Gatti fight. That fight was 8 years ago, and Floyd was at his very peak. Too many of yall are acting like Floyd will NEVER get old.

Number two, Guerrero is a lot better than that bum Gatti.

So no, I doubt Floyd gives him a Gatti type beating.

But he'll likely stop him late IMO. Guerrero is just too slow, and too easy to find.

 

I think this is going to be a tough fight for Floyd. RG showed that he has an incredible chin against Berto. He took some hellacious upper cuts. Floyd is a stationary fighter now and a lot of the fight will be ugly and on the inside. Floyd simply doesn't have the legs to move and box like he used too. RG will be able to track him down.

Floyd is 36. No one cheats father time. He might not lose this fight but if he keeps on fighting elite competition, he will eventually lose.

 

Are you really comparing the lightweight version of Guerrero to the welterweight version? Wake up and smell the folger's buddy. I really doubt Casa hits harder than Berto. And Gatti and RG are NOTHING alike.

Gatti trying to box Floyd. Didn't work. I'll be surprised if Guerrero even tries to box. He's going to try and walk Floyd down. Do what Guerrero does best to make it competitive.

It depends. Berto only generates a lot of force when he has distance enough to utilize his speed. He's certainly not a one punch ko artist (although there's that crazy perception). And yes, you can compare lightweight to welterweight Guerrero cause HE'S THE SAME ****ING FIGHTER. Berto hurt Guerrero several times in their fight, but the problem was that he would just lean/fall on Berto, and Berto (in normal Berto fashion) would simply let the clinch happen and acquiesce. The SAME **** happened with Ortiz. It even happened a little against Zaveck. Berto gasses, and lets you clinch the **** out of him to cover up the fact that he gasses. This is nothing new.

All this bull**** like Guerrero's been somehow transformed genetically into this ATG pressure fighter/outboxer who has the speed and tenacity of a wild animal. Please. :roll:

My original comment was pointed towards the fact that you said "Guerrero has a chin", in comparison to Gatti. You don't have a chin and are knocked down by a shot to **** Casamayor in the 10th round of a fight where you basically took little to no damage. It doesn't matter what weight.

Hate to disagree with you gents but the Ghost is going to school and he gots to pay for his education with a first class ass whoopin. Big props for him fighting his way to a shot but it's a totally different breed of animal he about to encounter and everything he did in the past won't even matter. He is not on Mayweather's level period. Everybody saying Mayweather is old, don't buy into that **** cause it's not revelant. Him being 36 won't even be a factor. I think Floyd is biting off more than he bargained for at 36 years old. Ghost comes to fight and I think this fight will be much closer than most people are expecting. I have Floyd in a CLOSE UD

 

Mayweather will win an 8-4 type of decision, with people criticizing him saying he should have stopped "the bum" or won every round at the minimum. They will also say it is proof that he is not the P4P best in the world.

 

I agree entirely with this post. Floyd's an unbelievable talent, but NOBODY can bend the laws of time. Sooner or later, and probably sooner, his age will become more and more apparent.

If Floyd wanted to look prime he should've fought Alexander. Ghost will make this ugly.

 

Mayweather easily outboxes him all night. This won't be a Gatti-like performance and not close because Mayweather is obviously 36 and his performance today is nothing like his performance in 2005. That said, I think it's fair to say that Guerrero could prove to be a better fighter than Gatti(RIP); who was a one-dimensional heavy bag.

 

That will be the case whoever he fights and beats really. Even if it's Pacquiao or Martinez.

 

I do not think this is gonna be the walk in the park that people think it will be.
