Nobody looks fast in the ring with Wlad. Except for Sanders. Haye's punches looked slow and telegraphed when throwing at Wlad.

Eddie, WTF? You would school Bermane easily, but what happened to Cruiser?!?

Would you go to Cruiser if you got a chance like this?

What "chance"? Did somebody offer him something? :huh

Near as I can tell, Arreola pulled out against Stiverne and he's basically jumping in and saying "I'll take his place!" with no reason to expect the WBC to let him.

    Nothing has changed, really.

All the reasons dropping to CW to dominate and clean house was a bright idea and languishing at HW in the hopes of getting another title shot in which he'd be hopeless was a bad idea are still valid. Arreola pulling out against Stiverne bears no relevance on Eddie or his situation.

    He'd school stiverne.

Infact outside of wlad, vitali and haye I favour him over anyone in the world. He could get a fight with Hernandez who only just beat Ross.

Huck is gonna fight ola afolabi forever cos they can never take more than 6 rounds off each other.

Don't see why lebedev or wlod couldn't be made, both have showed willingness to fight Americans before.

This is his best shot though, especially if vitali has slowed enough to be outjabbed by Eddie.

I know IB (see my earlier comment).
But IF (very big if), Sulaiman somehow suffers some kind of mental episode and gives the ok, I can see why Eddie would take this bout.
    It won't happen, but...

...but what is Eddie doing even making overtures about it? It contradicts everything he said before about his career path.

In a nutshell, his position seemed to be "I'm done with HW, I'm man enough to admit that getting another title shot would be pointless but am motivated to reign down at cruiser and even looking to unify!"

All it took was something as mundane as one contender dropping out of one eliminator (something that happens all the time, not exactly a huge event to send rippling shock waves through the division) and that all flies out the window? :huh

Bermane Stiverne doesn't get his credit on this forum. He was the first to expose David Price's glass chin! Yes, Chambers would outbox him, but B-WARE can crack! :deal

    He doesn't deserve any.

...but not the last...and Price was a string-bean child. As pros, Stiverne would lose to both Price and Thompson.

    Easily.

A bit, but he can't box to save his life.

The WBC won't allow Arreolla to get shafted from the eliminator. HBO would have to throw money at Stiverne to take the fight, and he won't because he'd be risking his WBC ranking.

Can't see him losing to Price, he'd find his glass jaw again! :tong

    Do not sleep on Stiverne.
