I think Chavez could hurt his career long term if he stays at middleweight.

Long suspension and big fine for that ****. But, you don't smoke blunts during camp knowing they'll show in the post fight test.

Good. Second offense. Nobody cares about weed but it is what it is.

Plenty of time for the Sergio fight, but I wonder if he'll take a tune-up and push the Sergio rematch back to December.

He made 3 million. It was 30% of his purse.

Considering Floyd refuses to look beyond the difficult mountain climb that is Guerrero and declined to commit to a September fight against Canelo, perhaps this will open up an opportunity for an Alverez - Martinez showdown now that JCCJ will be out of the mix for a while.

Well at least this lowers the chance of an undeserved Martinez rematch.

Sergio should focus on Canelo, Trout, and GGG.

900k for some weed? That best of been the bombest chronic ever.

This smacks of a money grab by the government run commission. They're more corrupt than the crooks they are supposed to be governing.

I don't want to see a rematch either.

Sergio will never fight at 154 again. It just won't happen. It's been 4 years already since he last did...

As a fan of both fighter's I'd like to see Sergio grab another payday against Chavez Jr.

And hopefully this suspension & changing of trainers might wake the kid the **** up & help him focus better or else Maravilla will take his head off in a rematch.

    If no 154

then Geale, Quillan, and GGG for sure, maybe no Quillan and just do two fights with GGG if the first one is good.

After he fights Murray, he will have beaten the 3rd, 5th, and 7th ranked middles in the world (ring). Not too shabby :think

I believe every state commission honors every other states' ruling. And if he were to fight out of the country while suspended, he'd be further "punished" by the commission.
