He CAN, but then he would be barred from fighting in the US for much much longer. They take that very serious.

It was discussed a great deal when Margarito was suspended and there were talks/rumors of him fighting in Mexico. Everyone in the media and officials said if he did, he would never be allowed to fight in the US again.

They should have given him a longer suspension considering its his second offense.

Chavez uses marijuana to bulk up to 190 lbs. on fight night, so technically it is a ped.

This is ****ing bull****, marijuana doesn't help you at all boxing wise! weed is PSD (performance screwing drug)

Meanwhile actual PED users like PEDerson get a slap on the wrist and even allowed to keep the belts they won while cheating

oh the wonders of being american...:patsch

Considering he got banned previously for use of illegal substance, I'm not surprised they're showing him no mercy.

900,000 grand seems way excessive for something that is not exactly a PED. I could see this as reasonable if he got popped for steroids or something. Even taking into account its his second positive test in 3 years it still seems high to me.

These sanctioning bodies are in business too, they charge that coin because they know he has it.

The NSAC commission voted 3-2 to suspend him. Thaty means 2 commission members don't give a f**k:smoke

    The fine is absurd, period.

That is a huge price to pay for some weed. That's ridiculous.

I really don't think so. Never heard it before and I've looked into such things.

I wouldn't be totally shocked, as I know many substances including Aderall is a masking agent.
