    Who gives a ****? It is just herb. It doesn't enhance performance, it is just banned. There is a big difference between a banned substance and a performance enhancing drug.

    Couldn't agree more, but the fact it's banned still remains, and he's a dick for taking it at all. This also sounds like a shitty excuse to evoke leniency and garner sympathy.

    What? Nobody cared that he smoked weed. Everyone knows what weed does. You are supposed to have anxiety. You are about to fight! Calm is the last thing you need. Ask mentally stabilized Mike Tyson.

    The reason fans, especially fans who Box, were mad he smoked weed was because of how slow, lazy, and sloppy he was. To top it off, even at that horrible level he was never in trouble AND had Martinez about to go. It left all of us saying, "What if the weed wasn't there?"

    It just made me sad because he had the chance to step out from under his father's shadow and go from being "A Chavez that is Boxing" to "The Chavez that is Boxing". It is one thing to lose a fight. It is a whole new level of disappointment to lose a fight in the gym/camp.
