If you could take 3 fighters from the last 20 years and insert them into the current boxing landscape who would they be?

Note: Fighters are in the prime of their careers.

I'll skip the heavyweights, the only one who could stand up to the past 2 decade greats are the Klits.

So I'd pick the prime Ricardo Lopez. I'd like to see him in the current 105/108 landscape. To be fair, the 2 divisions are deeper than during his time. I'd love to see him against Cuello, Roman Gonzales, Moises Fuentes, Ioka, among others.

Prime Tszyu. The 140 lb landscape as packed as ever. Imagine the rumble Mathysse, Garcia, Khan, Peterson, among others would provide to him. And Broner isn't even there yet.

Lastly, a prime Calzaghe. I'd really like to know how he manages to fend off Ward, Froch and Bute. Not questioning his abilities, but there are more challenges now than before. WOuld be very intersting.

Good choices. I think I would go with Prime Calzaghe, Jones Jr., and Hopkins in the super middleweight division. It would be the best division in boxing if you added those three. Tons of potential for exciting fights.

Maybe prime Israel Vazquez as well.

A guy with weak whiskers and dynamite punch is always a good choice.

Imagine the war he would brew with Arce, Rigo, Donaire, Mares, WV2 at 122.

Definitely RJ. Would clean house and wreck havoc from 160-200lbs.

Finito Lopez. It would be like art in motion watching Finito vs Chocolatito. Almost like 2 skilled swordsmen or jedi masters. Closest to perfection.

Stuck between Terry Norris or iron chinned power puncher Jose Luis Lopez just to bring an element of danger. You never knew what to expect from them.

Id say Tyson but the only fight that'd be of real interest would be vs Wlad so Ill pick 3 others with more depth

Calzage to see how he would fare vs Ward and Froch
Valero to see if he was the real deal or not
Maybe De La Hoya for a lot of big fights from 140 up

    RJJ

    A 20 year-old Martinez

Prime Andrew Golata. - Lord knows, the HW division could use him right now.

    ---------------------

    Honorable mention: A prime Butterbean.

Seriously. He could take on just about any current HW contender, and win in a 4-rounder. How satisfying would THAT be?
