Calzaghe had atg ability without the atg resume Thompson was good in his prime but washed up with a fat belly
Definitely Price. Not even comparable. To get knocked out in 2 rounds by a fat, past-prime HW who was handpicked to lose in your hometown. Embarrassing.
I say Lacy. One shot can happen in boxing. 1,000 shots of pure ass whoopin' though? Now that is much more embarrassing. No lucky shot claims can be made there.
Gotta be Lacy anyone can get caught and KO'd its happened plenty of times throughout boxing history, Price sure as hell isn't the first prospect to get caught when stepping up to world level for the 1st time (He was at least winning the fight up to that point) Lacy got completely taken apart and given an ass kickin for 12 rounds to which he never really recovered from after claiming Calzaghe was a slapper and he was going to KO him. (Deserves credit for not quitting though and trying for the full 12)
Price losing at home is worse. He lost in front of his fans in a fight he was suppose to dominate. Lacy lost to an ATG on the road. Big difference there.
Lacy lost to an ATG and arguably the GOAT in that division, took an absolute beating for 12, and never showed any signs of quitting. If anything, he deserves respect for taking his beating like a man. Price got KO'd in the second round by a guy who is barely a top ten HW in the worst era of HW's in history, and was KO'd by a punch that wouldn't have KO'd most lightweights. Price's was far more embarrassing.
Lacy went abroad with only 20 fights to fight an uknown with 40 professional fights. Price got sparked against a 41 year old in his hometown. It's clear as day who's more embarrassed.
The poll doesn't lie folks; Price is officially the biggest hype job embarrassment of the last two decades!
Price, hyped by many as future heavyweight ruler, got knocked out by 1 cuffing shot to his neck in his hometown against a past-it and overweight 41 year old gatekeeper in a **** heavyweight era and he had spaghetti legs when he tried to get up. Lacy was only small betting favourite away from home against a formidable fighter at his best, and got beat up for 12 rounds but stayed on his feet apart from 1 soft KD. No-brainer.
Has to be Lacy we expected so much more of him Price you kinda always knew he would wind up exposed, Lacy you didnt
