Good fight, Prescott needs to sort his stamina issues out and start winning and winning big in his oppurtunities (which he didn't do against Mitchell, McCloskey and Alvarado.

 

not with the punches he throws, he puts way too much into each shot and despite improving on his jab and his discipline a TINY bit, he still reverts to type after a few rounds, he looked like **** in his last fight when he was shown a bit of movement too, he's hell for anybody who goes toe to toe with him though

 

This undercard is ****ing class. Pity the main event is so underwhelming.

myth, he won at most six rounds, I scored it a draw, Prescott was also battering Alvarado around the ring like a wife who talked back to him too much for the first 6, but then he gassed, Alvarado gave him some movement...and oops, stopped in the tenth(had he made it through that round he still would have probably won on points or maybe even a draw, as it was a ten rounder)

Prescott can only blame himself

 

Prescott won AT LEAST 6 rounds Vs McCloskey. And if you think Alvarado's "movement" gave Prescott problems you don't know much about boxing.

 

Watch the fight again, after Prescott battered Alvarado all over the joint for the first half of the fight, Alvarado changed his tactics and moved a lot more, maybe you should watch that fight again, a combination of Alvarados (by necessity) having to move around after Prescott busted up his mouth, nose, and eyes after 5 rounds once Alvarado foolishly tried to match Prescott toe-to-toe and also Prescott over excerting himself because he was winning so comfortably, led to Alvarado stopping a gassed Prescott in the 10th and last round


Against McCloskey, Presott broke McCloskeys nose in the second, tooled him for 5 of the first 6 (mccloskey stood in front of him), and won in my book, 1 of the last 6 because shock horror, he gassed and lost on work rate

Everyone hated McCloskey because of his bitterness towards Khan, so they were more than happy to jump on and say Prescott battered him and was robbed, now I wouldn't hold it against anyone who say's Prescott scraped the decision, but robbed? get the **** out of here, Uncle Rico saw it similarly to me.

You Know Prescott is one of my fav fighters(throwback) and I picked him to beat Alvarado but Alvarado did well

 

Incidentally, IB scored it 114-113 to McCloskey

 

I agree, Prescott did beat McCloskey imo, but he gassed badly in the last 4 rounds and allowed McCloskey to come back into it.

And he was beating the **** out of Alvarado for the first 6 rounds and then gassed and got knocked out.

 

Prescott needs to get his **** together, the guy clearly has talent but very little in the way of dedication. If he put the work in he would have an impressive resume of Khan, Alvarado and McCloskey.

 

And Abril and Vazquez, all winable fights if he had applied himself

Imagine that resume, Khan, Alvarado, McCloskey, Abril, Vazquez and Mitchell, what a resume that would be if he had been the monster he could have been
