It's Official: Calzaghe Loses April 19th.

Cortez is a terrible referee but I still think Hatton would have lost to PBF anway, although it would have been closer on the cards and may have gone all the way.
You never know what to expect from Cortez; is he going to not let Hopkins fight dirty? Or is he no going to let Calzaghe beat a Yank?
I think regardless of Cortez's performance, Calzaghe will win.

 

Why do you have to bring the queen into this? Go **** Hillary! Or does she not fall into line with your political views?

Since this overhyped ***** is gonna beat Hopkins convincingly - what does that make Hopkins? His manbitch?

As somebody else said it wasn't infighting that Cortez didn't let Hatton do, it was his usual wrestling technique which is against the rules. He usually gets away with it but Cortez didn't let him bend the rules. And this is exactly why Calzaghe fans don't need to worry - in this fight B-Hop is the one who fights dirty which Cortez won't tolerate just like he did in the Floyd vs Hatton fight.

 

I just worry with Cortez that he will ruin any chance of this being a free flowing fight. He is way too involved for my liking and is a bad choice. Still, I think Calzaghe beats Hopkins and I'll be glad when he does.

 

Or maybe even Kenny Bayliss.

I think it's going a little bit too far to say that what Hatton did was merely look to fight inside, folks. Hatton was rubbing all over Mayweather to avoid getting caught on the way in by str8 rights everytime... At some point, Cortez had to do something because Floyd was sticking the left forearm to Hatton's throat and things could have gone a lot worse for either fighter - Cortez call them twice in round 2 and took a point away for flagrant foul from Hatton in round 6 ( very similar to what Bika did to Calzaghe and Mickey Vann did nothing). Cortez let Castillo fight his hold around the waist-n-hit fight against Mayweather in the rematch and Floyd was almost begging Cortez to do something.
I feel Bernard can't hit him soft on the nuts and on the blind side of the ref without getting penalized but you'll see what's gonna happen if Calzaghe gets in close and holds his left arm to hit him with the left a la Eubank's 1st round - Bernard is gonna nail him repeatedly with the right first like he did to Jermain and Joe Cortez won't be able to do anything about it.

 

i hate cortez but JC is still going to win
