What A -list heavyweight did Holmes beat. Not saying either kilitschko is remotely close to Holmes in terms of anything. But the klitschkos have a similiar career considering klits have been champions for a long period of time in a weak division.
Im not a Klittard and don't even like the Klitshkos but to say that there aren't similarities in their careers is ignorant.
This has been discussed so many times before. Looking at Wlad's resume you can see he has been a world class heavyweight for well over a decade, has cleaned out the division and is still the number 1 guy after a considerable length of time. Asking for ATG level wins is willfully ignorant because we all know he hasn't fought another top 15 ATG fighter. He ranks where he does because of his achievements in the ring, which are irrefutable. That's how I see it. Vitali's record as it is isn't terribly impressive until you look at the context and see that his 11 fight streak he is on now were all fights where he was past prime and, in many of those fights, a shadow of his former self. That suggests his achievements while he was prime don't quite reflect how good he actually was Because he is a very highly ranked ATG fighter who dominated a somewhat weak era and despite not having any truly huge wins he is ranked amongst the best. His ranking also benefits from getting some notable wins when he was well past his sell by date, which Vitali has also done.
I don't recall Holmes getting KO'ed in his prime by 3 journeymen. I really don't see any similarities between Wlad and Holmes...
Hell, Holmes was beaten by lightheavyweight Spinks! Rahman knockout Lewis out and McCall TKO'd him! Joes Lous was knocked out, etc. Vlad can beat all the top then heavyweights and so can Vitali!!!!!!!
Ali, Norton, Shavers and he fought and lost to Tyson and Holyfield. Vitali has Lewis who beat him. Wlad really has no one, Byrd, Haye, Peters are his big wins.
Lol... Maybe a case could be made for the Purrity fight but Wlado was something like 40-1 and a world title holder in the Sanders fight. Stop talking out of your ass, Klittard. And don't think I didn't notice how you conveniently ignored the Brewster fight...
Holmes was and old man and had already defended his title 20 consecutive times by the time of the Spinks loss. The names Larry Holmes and Wlad Klitschko should not be used in the same sentence...
