take abril off tv !!!!!

Judges prefer shots that do the most damage, I agree 100% Rios did have the heavier shots in the fight, Abril held on most of the fight and excessive holding is a foul and can sway judges into believing you do not want to fight that you are simply trying to survive.... it turns judges off it turns fans off.

Rios in the books has a win they need to deal with it.... I will take qualified judges over popular opinion

cant believe so many of you are defending abril here. yeah, i think he won the fight last night, but he still is terrible to watch. the question is, do you want to see him in a premium tv main event?

Abril wasnt holding like you say in the Rios fight, he stood his ground with his defence up which nullified rios, either by making him hit air or his guard and caught rios with clean punches on the outside.

You love Boxing or Rios? Yes Rios i thought so because if you love boxing youd see that fight completely different.

Bottom line this is boxing in which the rules state Holding is a foul and its not a tactic that gains you points..... when Judges see a fighter holding that much that fighter leaves the fight up for interpretation meaning the judges see it as that fighter simply does not want to fight and fighting is what wins fights.....

So you cant ***** about the decision when you have a guy like Abril showing you he doesnt want to fight..... bottom line if he wanted the win he should have fought for the win, not hold his man 80 plus times during the fight and expect the title to be handed to him **** that ****....

Another poster that doesn't get the fact that there are two classes of judges. Some score FIGHT first. Some score BOXING first. Abril got 1 of three for that reason. Brandon got 2 of three for that very same reason. Again, if you fight like you WANT it to go to the judges then don't ***** if they don't see it your way. Abril lost his job at the omelet factory cuz he can't crack an egg and has adapted his style to that. Spoiling will always be his tactic against top level opponents.

hit and dont get hit meaning use your ****ing defense, hands up, move out of the way using your footwork, use some head movement, Abril does none of that he simply holds and that is a foul
