Floyd gets hit because he doesn't have Broner's power and is too scared to test himself toe to toe like Broner does.

Broner is a more exciting fighter than Floyd.

Broner doesn't even need to act out to sell. He can let his hands do the talking because more than likely, he'll get a KO.

"Rios is one-dimensional...a guy who stands in one spot. He's there to be hit all day."

    No he isn't.

His head movement and blocking is very underrated. Jones and Kellerman pointed this out in the fight with Alvarado and that's what I had been waiting for. He has excellent timing and his power tends to surprise a lot of people. Then there are the intangibles (heart, mental toughness, intimidation, etc.) which his opponents have to deal with.

I'll say this. If Rios was fighting a young Mayweather or even today's version of Floyd he wouldn't have much of a chance. Broner is still a bit untested. His defense is NOT as good as Floyd's. He doesn't adjust very well as we saw in the PDL fight. Broner is very susceptible to body shots which Rios loves to throw. Broner will also brawl with his opponent - something that isn't very smart when it comes to dealing with Rios.

Hard for me to pick at this point. Broner has amazing athleticism. Rios is a real warrior who can change a fight with one punch. Anybody else think this might end up similar to the outcome of Chavez-Taylor 1?

Brandon hasn't really fought a boxer like Broner. The time he's fought a boxer, many argue that he lost

One thing we know about Rios, is that he will dig deep, and risk getting knocked out. He ain't gonna stop, dude is a beast. Broner was getting hit flush by lil bitty boy man Rees. I think Rios punishes him.

I would like to see Broner fight Burns because people will say he ducked him down the line if he moves up without facing him. I agree he wrecks Burns but I'd like to see it anyway. He has plenty of time to move up he's only 23 and he said he plans on fighting only one more time at 135 so why not add Burns scalp to his resume.

I feel that Broner could learn a thing or two from PBF about defense and footwork two things I feel that PBF is much more superior than Broner is.

The closest he had to Broner was Anthony Peterson which he beat he was getting in his ass so bad that Peterson was left no choice other than to foul his way out.

Abril if you bring that fight up his style is NOTHING like Broners so its irrelevant

I do believe Peterson has good boxing ability good speed and a good jab Rios took all of that away from him including his heart

:good nice post. At this point, we have seen a lot more from Rios than Broner. Rios is one stubborn *******. If this fight is on the inside then Rio's beats the **** out of Broner. Too many question marks with Broner at this point.

Yeah, but comparing Abril and Broner styles as a boxers style
is a bit shortsighted. The two couldn't be more contrasting in
    styles as "boxers"

Rios doesn't have **** defense but don't try and make it out to more than what it is. He's no defensive wizard that's for damn sure. Rios is what he is, he's a tough one dimensional fighter good at it but indeed one dimensional. Broner has the more varied boxing game here. Lastly, I don't see the Chavez-Taylor comparisons. For one Taylor was dumb as a bag of rocks less power and wide open.

It would be interesting to see if Broner would go toe to toe vs Rios, since he's not as small as his other opponents. I'd like to see how Broner would fight Rios. Broner says he likes to fight, I want to see it.
