Over at Fighthype. Summary of what Ward says:

    • He's been a Mayweather fan for many many years.
    • Apparently Floyd's style in the ring has shaped his own style.
    • But Robert is his man and he is going to support him.
    • Robert has underrated boxing skills
    • Him and Robert came up together & fought in the amateurs together.
Out the window goes the false theory that all Black people support each other :good

(waits for someone to tell me that Ward is not Black but Irish  )

How can you callWard being black when he's clearly more white than black?

Ok we are going to get side tracked here for a moment but I will indulge......

I'm black and like the vast majority of black people am not 100% black....my son is mixed - dad (me) is black and mom is white he is STILL considered black despite being less than 50% black!

    I didn't make the rules....

(this thread is going to get messy lol)

Perfect I wish I had posted this! :)

Not black at all, he's white and slick. White slick fighters happen in boxing :deal

Both California fights, and of course he must want that top spot P4P.

I think he already deserves it (behind Marquez), but you know, star power.

I don't think Marquez has more 'star power' than Ward, it might seem otherwise but I got the feeling Marquez is a little less of a static figure in boxing:

    a) mexican
    b) desn't speak english
    c) his recent fight against pac didnt generate "that much" money
    d) his biggest win came late in his career
    e) mayweather fooled him by 12 rds

  11. Wards just upset that Mayweather choose Broner to befriend and not him.

That's my personal ranking. Most have only Mayweather ahead of Ward.

Besides, Marquez will be gone soon

I don't see your point with e, but see above.

My personal ranking is (or would be) Marquez first, Ward second, Mayweather third.

I don't think he's upset he probably knows Robert more on friendship level than Floyd. Plus they are both hardcore Christians lol

If Broner continues to get the fan fair he currently does and continues to move through the weight classes as he has been I think he gets to #1 before Ward, whether it's right or wrong.

In black regions, your son would be known as blanco.
Andre Wards mom is part white and his dad is 100% white.

Not that it makes any difference.
