What is the SINGLE most amazing boxing moment of your LIFE?

There's practically nothing a bob and weave fighter can't do, inside or outside the ring. The Vikings bobbed and weaved their way across the Atlantic. The British Empire bobbed and weaved their way to Australia. NASA bobbed and weaved all the way to the moon. Price wouldn't go anywhere near that kind of fighter

 

Calzaghe v Lacy was the fight that changed me from a passive fan to a boxing fan. It was the first time I watched a fight live with money down.

 

Probably the best thing i've ever seen....

Chancing upon the Hearns vs Duran replay on World of Sport one Saturday morning when I was thirteen years old.

I'd seen boxing before then, but it hadn't really grabbed me. My father even had me stay up all night to see one of Ali's last fights a few years earlier (Holmes or Berbick), but I just didn't get it. I liked Bruce Lee at the time.

However, I'd never seen anything like Hearns vs Duran. I didn't know who they were or anything about them, but I was completely mesmorised by the way Hearns moved and the way he let his hands go. When the knockout came I was completely electrified. It was the most exciting thing I'd ever seen, better than Bruce Lee and it was real. It was a special moment for me and I've been hooked on boxing ever since.

Although I came to prefer guys like Duran, Chavez Snr and more recently Erik Morales it was Thomas Hearns that first got me interested and he's still my favorite fighter today.

 

Holyfield vs. Tyson I. The fight that made me a big time fan. Of both boxing and Evander Holyfield.

 

unfortunatly i was too young to ever watch Ali and 'prime' tyson live but been from manchester i think hatton stoppin kostya was prob the biggest moment in boxing as a fan gettin involved sort of thing
but i remember been the only lad in school who was gutted that lewis knocked out tyson.. as i was still pretty young i bought into the hype about tyson still havin the power and such ...obviously lookin back years on i now know tyson was in a corpse state goin into the ring
Mayweather/Hatton was a huge thing over here as well.. there the 3 main ones that stick out when lookin back
honourable mention to castillo/corrales 1... RJJ schooling Ruiz....domestic wise jamie moore/macklin....Broadie/Injin Chi 1 & gomez vs Arthur (the manchester scene was brilliant a few years back)

Thats easy for me. Buster Douglas knocking out Tyson. At the time Tyson was considered unbeatable and watching the fight unfold was surreal. So much drama, not to mention it was a great heavyweight fight, and then the unbelievable last few rounds ending with Douglas' awesome ko of Tyson. Probably my favorite boxing moment

The wildest night for me though was Pavlik vs Taylor 1. I had been following Pavliks rise, uneven after the Miranda fight he was still unknown to most. There was like 5 of us on here that was giving Pav a chance, then came round 2 and it was just like NOOOOO!!! Haha

Then he got up and brought it right to JT.

Then, it was the craziest emotional ride in the world. I was running around screaming, my dogs was hiding under the furniture, and I can't believe the neighbors didn't call the cops.
