One of the standout fights for me was Calzaghe v Eubank, when Joe went against our nations most eccentric but much respected warrior, i think seeing Joe floor him Twice, which 'just couldnt happen' we were told was standout for me.

Also, i have a massive dislike for Chisora and literally jumped out my chair when Haye sent him down with a 5 punch combo.

 

The standouts for me were

Leonard beating Hagler
Douglas beating Tyson
Benn and McClellans war
11th round of Eubank v Watson 2

 

Hang on a minute you forget to mention Joe wanted to call off the Lacy fight claiming he was "injured" but Enzo kicked his ass and MADE him fight. Joe has Enzo to thank for the career he had. Pity Enzo couldnt make Joe take the rematch with Bernard Hopkins when Nard offered to fight in wales. What a way for a champion to say goodbye than to rematch the man, many thought beat him, at home in front of his adoring welsh fans. But no Joe retires instead giving the finger to his fans. Since retiring he's been in the news for ditching his g/f accused of drug & alcohol abuse too. Seems Joe like killing innocent little rabbits too They cannot fight back can they Joe??
Enzo knew Joe could beat Lacy but also knew he could not legitimately beat Hopkins :bbb :hi:

 

i watched Corralas-Castillo live while still a casual fan. Needless to say i was no longer a casual after that.

 

Being a huge Roy Jones fan, followed every fight growing up, him winning a HW belt was a pretty special night for me. It had been talked about for years, it was great to watch him totally dominate a true HW.

Biggest and most amazing boxing moment that occured during my lifetime was Foreman-Moorer.

Amazing things that occured while I watched it is hard to pick.

Hopkins impressed (and surprised) the hell out of me 3 times against Tarver, Pavlik, and Pascal.

Mosley made my year in 2009 when he destroyed Margarito.

Much more recently Marquez beating Pac in their 3rd fight (bad decision aside) and then knocking Pac out cold in their 4th fight.

Morales going to war against Maidana and making it a razor close fight in a give and take war, all with just the sight in 1 eye due to the other being closed and swollen to huge proportions.

 

In general: Douglas beating Tyson. That fight was supposed to be so lopsided not even Vegas was taking bets on it. Tyson was perceived to be an unbeatable force back then. Not only did he lose, but it was so convincing and the image of Mike with his mouth piece in backwards was splashed around the globe.

As a fan: Gatti vs. Ward round 9 and Corrales vs. Castillo 1.

 

...yeah ok. a 'brit' getting a decision in the usa vs an american doesnt happen unless you win by a fair margin, hopkins crying all fight proved the bich he was. white boy wins.

 

That fight could have gone either way, Hopkins clearly landed the better shots, but maybe just not quite enough of them in the end... If I remember the crowd was very pro Calzaghe as well.

As a Calzaghe fan, would you not like to have seen him re-match and beat Hopkins more clear? Or were you alright with him fighting Jones instead?
