The reality is until K2 stop producing their miserly slave contracts no-one decent will fight them as a voluntary challenger. And you're ok with that. :-(
If HBO had secured Mayweather, they would have broadcast Wlad-Jennings live and used it to promote the Mayweather PPV later that night.
Not correct (even these "slave contracts" put more money in the opponents pockets than any other fight would), but let's just assume it is. Why does it have to be "about the money" for all of the challengers. What happened to the drive and determination to become champ? Why isn't that first? Instead you have so many fighters just saying "I'll wait until K2 are retired, then I'll get a belt". Champs dictate the terms, this is the way it is, and the way it should be. If fighters believe so much in themselves then just take the fights, whatever the terms are, prove you are the best, and then once Champ, you can set your own terms.
Every fighter who fight a Klitschko makes more money than in his last fights combiend! Also one could think that a chance to fight in such a big fight is also a very good reward. Also a Voluntary fight is something the Klitschkos dont have to do!!! They just could fight once a year and thats it! So if a Klitschko gives you teh chance to fight as a Voluntary against them it is something the dont have to do. See it as a gift to a fighter who maybe never would get the chance to fight in such a big fight! But most of the promoters only want theire fighters to fight as a mandatory! And this is the truth here! Everybody wants to get mandatory because you get more money for it! But it is OK! You could say the Klitschkos should offer more money but again look at my first two arguments!
There is a recent video with Fury saying how good it is that he is two fights away from a mandatory shot at Wlad. Fury not wanting it is bull. I heard he was offered a pityfull 10 grand for the fight and it wouldn't surprise me if true. Here is the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl83Kmtp-04
Once again, you are unable to say anything remotely critical of K2 & will defend anything they do. The contracts K2 offer to voluntary challengers go far beyond anything anyone else in boxing does. Its complete & utter bull**** that their devoted fans dont acknowledge the truth about how K2 does business but will readily defend whatever low-level opponent K2 can get for **** money & **** conditions.
Why dont the Champs fight on loose terms and prove to the boxing world they are the best? It will have a negative impact on them long haul more than it will anybody else. He who dares wins.
No, that isnt true. Chisora made a lot more fighting Haye than he did vs Vitali. Fury has been offered more money to fight Price than what K2 are offering. Its not just about the money. There's the 3 fight slave deal K2 offer along with all the enormous fines they issue for missing a press conference, which they can call when ever they want. The HW division is being run by greedy control freaks & its not a good thing for the sport.
Wlad has already proven he is the best. One of the benefits of being champ is that you get to set the terms.
Yeah, absolutely. "Champs" dictate the terms" - and what's with the Champ after beating one of the Klitschkos? He would have to fight each Klitschko at least one more time (and do some other stuff too). Seems to be a nice championship while wearing a dog's collar.
But this is not common! Fighters like Solis, Pulev or Helenius would make still a lot more money fighting a Klitschkos. Fact is I never saw a real SINGED!!! Voluntary contract! And I dont think the Klitschkos are the only fighters who offer bad VOLUNTRAY contracts. As long Wladimir faces Povetkin this year (but maybe he will duck Wladimir a third time) this fight is OK for me.
So what? Are they the best or not? There's no better fights out there for them. Secondly, not that I consider it a bad thing (I don't), but I doubt the fighting EACH Klitschko is a reality any longer, and if so, it won't be for too long. My strong feeling (90+ percent) is that Vitali is done fighting and will retire.
atsch atsch Wlad has cleared out the division. Thompson x2 Haye Peter x2 Chagaev Brock Byrd x2 Those are all very good fighters.
