    Would Cotto have seen the 12th?

    We all know Coto was badly stumbled.in the 12th and Floyd was tagging him with rights all night behind the guard.

    Floyd would have taken more damage aswell, Prob forces a stoppage in the 11th maybe 12th against Cotto tho.

    Miguel hurts him worse early on with his jabs and power punches, but might also take enough damage to get a stoppage on cuts or the ref.

    I agree with that.... its also the reason Cotto demanded Everlast Brand Gloves and 10 ounce with Margarito...

    Cotto has suffered a lot of swelling and cuts in his career. I think he wanted to prevent a TKO stoppage more than anything. He even swelled up using the 10 oz.

    Cotto's defense depends on a high guard. 10oz gloves have more surface area and provide a little more protection than 8oz gloves. Mayweather wanted 8oz gloves so he could minimize Cotto's guard.
